Disclaimer: I do not own FMA nor any of its characters.
Warnings: Angst, character death, shonen ai, language Notes: First fic I've ever done, so I welcome any type of review. Also, if you don't like RoyxEd coupling, then you probably would want to either skip that part or just not read.
"...Al...Alphonse...Hey,Al!"Edward franticly looked around the still clouded room for his little brother; hoping that the transmutation had worked.Smoke starting to clear and Al still no where in siht, Ed reluctantly forced himself to a standing position and walked out of the building; head hung low and tears staining his now pale face.
The sky had grown dark with the night coming fastly upon the world since he had first entered the building that afternoon to get Al back from the Homunculus and Dante. The cool night air brushing past him in a soft breeze. "Al...What could have gone wrong? Why were you not able to come back? Dammit! This wasn't supposed to happen."
Suddenly, three figures cloaked in black rounded the corner of a nearby building running into Ed.
"Hey kid, watch where you're going!" one figure said, grabbing the collar of Ed's shirt.
"You should show some respect for the boss, punk." another figure said before socking him in his gut.
Ed,after regaining some of the air that he had lost, looked up at the figure that was holding him and the one who had hit him. "You sure it should be me and not you bastards who should be watching where they're going?" He murmurred, which only served to get him hit again.
"Watch your mouth, kid!" a third figure said, kicking in his side.
Ed didn't care anymore about the pain. To him, this pain was nothing compared to how his heart felt. He had lost his mother, and now he had lost his little brother. "Whatever...I really don't care anymore. You guys can beat me all you want. Compared to what he's gone through...This pain is nothing." Ed looked at the men again; tears once again streaming down his face.
"You've got guts to take a beating, but a midget like you needs to learn why he should not roam the streets alone after nightfall." The man holding him, who seemed to be the boss, began to drag a cofused and psychologically torn up Edward to a darkened alley that looked as though it had seen better days.
Sorry for the cliff hanger, hopefully there'll be no more of those. No promises, though. BTW, would you call that a collar on Ed's normal attire? . PLease R&R.
