Author´s note:
Hi guys. Well, those lines just swirled through my head, some minutes ago
so I wrote them down and I thought: Let´ssss play sssome riddlessss game,
my preciousss *gg* Well, I didn´t give that poem a headline or title, it´s
a riddle, although not a very difficult one I fear? The question is: What
place is this? Which episode from the LotR do I describe here? Have fun...
If you like that I might continue this little game.. *g*
And...oh, Ele, Aldarwen: Chapter 14 will be up soon! *waves*

High citadels which scrap the pale white moon
With towers rising up into the sky,
black stones which smash the trav´ler´s hope so soon
if he dares walking where the shadows lie.

Once been an iv´ry city full of bliss.
The sun was gazibg, filling with her light
Those ancient walls that now have gone amiss
That old days´ glory turned to fearful nihgt.

No happy voices ring within these walls,
just blades and claws and screams with fearful sound,
where once were heard the little children´s calls
now shrieks of evil creatures shake the ground.

The City of the Moon, the ancient pride
Which travellered hurried seeing from afar
Is in these days a place of evil night
Where no more glory, only tortures are.

But never will the hopes of peoples fade,
for one small person singing in his fear
soon hears an answer it is not too late.
His heart feels light, he knows the friend is near.

And never heeding all the fear around
His voice as clear as Elven Maidens´ calls
He greets the saviour who with hope has found
The Bearer of the Ring within these walls.

Like heroes in the times now long gone by
Their hope has broken all this place´s woe.
Like gold-winged birds from evil night they fly
And out to end the evil days they go.
