This is a new kind of story. This story details the back history of the Blue Spix Macaw tribe in the Amazon. This is decades before Blu and Jewel ever arrived and even before they met. This was when Eduardo was still a young man.

The Tribe is ruled by a very large and powerful Kingdom. However, it views Macaws (and any other exotic bird in that respect) as lower class citizens. Often they are forced into servitude, slavery, or oppressive discrimination from the "Pure" birds of the land. This is a story about hate, love, and rebellion. Hope you enjoy.

Queen Victoria sat on her throne. She listened to her advisers debate in the house, to hear their arguments for and against this and that. It all seemed pointless to her, why would she need them when she is the end all-be all of power? It didn't matter what they thought, she was the Queen wasn't she?

She was rather peculiar for a lady at the time. She always seemed to think of herself and her country superior to that of her contemporaries and rivals. Stuck up is what many of the people who she considered "unworthy" called her.

Victoria was a swan, and swans, doves, and falcons were all of the birds that were considered as majestic and graceful. And under them were the commoners, the owls, eagles, and sterling's of the Kingdom. And lastly, the undesirables.

Macaws, Toucans, Pigeons, Ravens and Crows, Seagulls, Ospreys you name it, were all lumped together in this big and giant unwanted class of citizens.

Their lives were miserable under Victoria's reign. But who could complain? Blasphemy against the Queen was considered an act of high treason, and treason led to the death penalty. People valued their lives over their liberty.

Just as the Queen liked it. The Kingdom of Alsace was the mightiest in the region. Who ever dare lifted a finger against them, lost their lives. It was situated in the fertile valleys and flood plains along the Amazon. And outside were a bunch of filthy barbarians. At least, that's what the Queen called them.

Victoria was barely paying attention to the discussion, when somebody said something that perked her interest.

"…And we will all be damned! Unless we put down this rebellion straight away!" The falcon said straight away.

"Rebellion? What is this talk of a rebellion?" Victoria questioned him.

"Your majesty, the lower order have been getting a bit unruly lately. Just last week we had to arrest at least fifty people suspected of inciting a riot. People are getting anxious, some of the commoners reported that the undesirables were holding assemblies talking of how they want to burn down your kingdom."

"Kill them all! There will be no such thing in this land! The lower order has a place in this egalitarian society I have built, and they must be committed to serve their own role." Victoria leaned back in her seat.

"If I might add, the movement might be more widespread than we could ever imagine! I fear…"

"I said, they will all die. Didn't I make myself clear?" Victoria restated to the bird.

"Yes, I understand perfectly clear."

"Good, I want somebody to inform me 24/7 of this "Rebellion" and to give me everything that is happening. Maybe we can make an example out of a few unlucky souls." Victoria fell quiet and the room picked up discussion again.

(More coming soon, I promise)
