Sakura's POV
I stood in front of the church and sighed. Today, Sasuke is marrying Karin. I closed my eyes and held back tears. How could this be happening? I sighed again. Why am I even here? I turned round and saw cars starting to pull up. No point in standing here. I walked up the stairs and was stopped bt the man at the door.
" I need your name before you enter."
" Haruno Sakura"
He glanced through the list he was holding. "I'm sorry but it seems you weren't invited."
" That's not possible," I said, reaching into my bag and pulling out my invitation. " I received an invitation."
He looked at the list again. " Oh, here you are. I'm sorry to inform you that the bride have uninvited you."
I couldn't believe what I just heard. I was uninvited, to a wedding where the love of my life was getting married to another woman. This is unbelievable.
" SAKURA!"
I turned and saw Ino walking up the stairs in her 10 inch heels.
" Why are you still standing out here?"
" Hahas… erm the funny thing is that I was not meant to be here and yet I came and this and that happened… so erm.." I awkwardly scratched the back of my head.
" Karin uninvited you didn't she?" Ino interrupted sternly.
"Yeah…" I whispered, lowering my head.
Ino sighed as she rubbed her temples and thought for a minute. " Who gives a damn anyway!" Ino grabbed me by the arm and pulled me inside with her, ignoring the protests from the guy at the door.
"Ino I don't think this is a good idea."
" Nobody gives a damn shit about her. Anyway this is the best way to get her all hot and furious." Venom dripping from every word Ino said.
I giggled. Ino and Karin never had a good relationship or even a good conversation. They would always end up in a fight. I'm not surprised that she would take any opportunity in front of her to make Karin suffer.
" Anyway you shouldn't be such a pushover!" she nagged. " She has already taken away Sasuke away from you and yet you still let her get her way. How stupid can you be Sakura? How many times have I told you never to- SAI DARLING!" I was saved by the entrance of the boys.
I looked over and saw Naruto, Sai and Neji walk in.
"Sakura-Chan!" shouted Naruto, running up and hugging me, "I didn't think you would come! How are you? Feeling better?"
"C-can't breathe."
He let go. "Oops, sorry."
"No harm done." I said as I took in deep breaths. I looked at Naruto, he has not changed much after these months.
Naruto sighed " I can't believe Teme is getting married."
" I can't believe it either." I gave a forced smile.
Naruto looked at me with those bright apologetic blue eyes.
"She doesn't deserve him," Neji said.
Naruto put his arm around my shoulder."Neji's right "
I sighed and smiled thinking of the good old days "it's too late to think that now"
"Uh Oh" said Ino as people rush to take their seat. "Here comes the bride and groom."
I turned my head towards the preacher, to find Sasuke looking directly at me with wide eyes. (is it that surprising to see me at the wedding? He was the one who invited me) Why did my hair have to be pink?
"we are gathered here today for the marriage of Uchiha Sasuke and Hebi Karin," said the preacher.
Without realizing, I started to squeeze my handbag . It's just too much of torture. Ino placed a reassuring hand on my cold sweaty ones " the ceremony is almost over." She gave me a sweet smile. It did comfort me a little but…
" Hebi Karin, would you take Uchiha Sasuke as your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." I don't think I can handle much of this. I was only planning to give them my blessings.
"Will you, Uchiha Sasuke, take Hebi as your lawfully wedded wife…"
I took whatever energy left in me and stood up only to have shocked gasps from the crowd and a stunned Sasuke staring directly at me.
