Disclaimer: I don't own Victorious. This story is told from Beck's point of view
"Jade," I said, "Can we talk?"
"Unless someone took out a pair of scissors and cut out your voice box," she replied sarcastically.
I shuttered at the thought.
"Yeah what's up," she asked.
"Listen the other day when I was at Petmergancy a little girl said something that gave me pause. She said women often freak out about the simpliest things because they are frightened and they need a man to make them feel safe.
"Right," she said, "Lets pretend that's true."
I ignored Jade's sarcasm. I was used to it by now.
"The point is," Beck said, "I didn't treat you right. Look you did have your share of fault in this relationship but the fault also lays with me as well. I made several incorrect assuptions."
"Oh you mean like the time you acted hurtful to me for humiliating Tori when I wasn't the one that spilled her secret?"
Jade always insisted she hadn't been the one to spill Tori's secret. But if she didn't then who else could have done it?
"Or the time that you kissed Tori in order to 'punish' me for spilling coffee on the girl who was rubbing you?"
It wasn't to punish her. I was just being a male. What guy wouldn't jump at the chance to kiss a gorgeous girl?
"Or the time that you put me in 'time out' because I insulted Vega when she ruined our 2 year anniversary plans," Jade continued.
"Yes. And the time I wouldn't let us be together until you were nice to Tori. And the time I did the one thing I knew would piss you off. I assumed that you were just being an ass but I didn't think about the fact that you were going through a lot. I should have been on your side more. I should have listened more to what was going on. I shouldn't have used your insecurity about us possibly breaking up as a tool to manipulate you. I absolutely should not have been such a moron and so insensitive about the things you were going through. I still kick myself when I think of what an ass I was that day."
"Well whatever," she said, "You apologized for that and retracted what you said. It's not as if it was a big deal. We had a good run."
"Jade I still do love you," I said, "I just never was able to stop loving you. I miss you. I miss us."
"Well you won," she said.
"No I didn't," I told her quickly, "Without you it's not winning. It isn't the same without you. Besides it's more 'you' then 'me' when it comes to that anyway."
"Hm... I never thought of it like that before. You're right."
"But I don't want it to be 'you' or 'me'. I want it to be us."
"Are you saying you want to get back together," she asked me
"Yes," I said, "I want us to be us. Right now we're spit in half-"
"Yes," Jade said, "On one condition. You accept me as I am," she told me
"I wouldn't have you any other way," I said
