Trembling, Naya knocked carefully on the door to Lea's trailer and braced herself. She heard a small 'come in' and entered, frowning as she saw Jenna and Dianna already seated on the small couch, with Lea sitting in the chair in front of them.

"I was kind hoping to talk to Lea alone…"

"Come on, Naya, we're all friends here!" Jenna smiled, patting the empty seat next to her. Sighing, the darker woman sat down and looked at the three faces before her.

"Is this about Heather?"

"Wha-"

"Naya, relax. We're not going to judge you. It's the least we would do, after all…" Dianna mumbled into her wine glass as she sipped at the luscious red liquid, giving a small, non-committal shrug. "So, spill to your Agony Aunts. What's this all about?"

"I'm not sure I can do this anymore…"

Lea frowned as she handed Naya a fresh glass of wine, her lips turning down at the corners delicately. "Are you serious?"

"I just…I feel like this is all for nothing, you know?"

"Explain yourself, Nay. You're not making any sense…"

"Well, she's with Taylor. It's awkward because I'm sure Taylor knows by now, and it just feels like I'm trapped by the fact that I'm totally…"

She stopped, and three pairs of eyes trained themselves on her as she wet her lips with the wine before opening them again, sealing her faith.

"In love with her. I'm totally in love with her and I'm trapped by that!"

"So you can't break up with her…because you love her."

"Yes."

"O…k…"

"It's not that easy, OK? I mean, I totally love her, I really do, but sometimes I just wonder if it's all worth it. All I am to her is a hook up, the next warm body after Taylor. So…does she even care about my feelings? If she did wouldn't Taylor be out of the picture by now?"

Heather groaned inwardly as Taylor left her apartment, and she set herself down on the sofa, staring up at the ceiling as she threw her head back. What a waste, spending an evening with him when she could be enjoying herself with her cast mates at a club or wherever they go when she's not with them…

She could even be with Naya…

It was killing her, this constant waiting for something to happen that could get Taylor to break up with her. Or an excuse to break up with him. Anything at all, as long as she could finally have the reason to go to Naya's house, pin her against the wall and let loose in that messy apartment of hers. She wanted a reason, a motive…

She wanted freedom from this stupid public image.

She was stuck, stuck in a rut with no way out. She couldn't go back, she could only move forward or dig another path out. And the only way to do that was to hurt Taylor, get him to finally let her go and be free. Once she did that…

What, Heather? She asked herself. What will you do then? Will you go running into Naya's arms at work and kiss her in front of everyone and just not care? What about your mother? What about your public image? What then, Heather? What's gonna happen then?

Giving out a loud sigh, she brought a hand up to her face and rubbed at her temples slowly, pressing down slightly to maybe eliminate the headache slowly forming…

Was freedom really too much to ask?
