Disclaimer: I do NOT own the Fallen series.

PLEASE, please, Don't flame me! This is my first Fallen story so, have some mercy.

"Jade?" My best friend Jamie asked from her side of the vehicle.

"What is it?" My anger was evident in my voice. My step-mom had somehow convinced my dad to send me here to help me with my 'problems'. Stupid parents sending me to a reform school...Stupid dad for marrying a gold digger...

"What's the school's name?"

"I don't know. I didn't bother to learn it." I hadn't. I only bothered learning the school made all the students wear black. "It's not like my parents care what happens to me."

"Of course they do, and so do I. That's why I'm here." Jamie hadn't wanted to go to her (was gonna me our) new school alone and she didn't want me to be lonely, so she decided to come with me to this living hell.

"We're here." Our driver, John said as he got out of the car to grab our stuff. Our parents had thought it was better for us to ride together. You'd think they'd let us use a normal car! Like a normal car any family would have! Not a god damned limo!

"Give me my copy of Fallen Jamie, you can get yours out of your bag in a minute." Jamie handed me my book and we climbed out of the limo while I threw the book into my purse. These guys better know not to mess with me or Jamie, and I don't mean because we're rich. Because I'll beat the sorry ass sh-

"Hurry we're already five minutes late!" Jamie called as she grabbed her neon green suitcase from John. Poor girl, with her color loving, happy, and friendly personality she probably won't last here long.

I sighed and grabbed my suitcase from John. My suitcase was black and had a silver skull with ruby eyes for all to see. It'll scare off a few people...

"Run!" Jamie screamed and I took off after her. I may be wearing black stiletto boots but I'm still a fast runner. Doesn't matter what shoes or heels I'm wearing, I'll be anyone in a race.

We threw open the doors to the lobby to find a chest-less attendant and three other students. Great...

"Welcome to Sword & Cross girls." The genderless attendant said. I looked at the other kids.

One was a preppy looking girl with a pink plastic binder (Jamie's kind of friend, not mine) , and there was a brown haired guy (Possible looser, might be useful). But the one that caught my eye was a shaggy haired guy with a black T-shirt and a black sunburst tattoo showing out of the edge of his shirt.

I smiled, the guy could be useful, he might know the ropes of this place better that the other two.

Jamie was tugging on my arm but I didn't pay her much attention. When she didn't get my attention Jamie sighed and gave up.

Just then a girl with short, black hair barged in.

"So remember it's meds, beds, reds. Remember the basic and no one gets hurt." The attendant said. The black haired girl started saying something.

"Could you uh repeat that?" She asked. The attendant told her about 'meds' in a sarcastic voice that showed she was female. Preppy girl looked at the new girl and flashed her a big smile.

"I'm Gabbe." Preppy I mean Gabe said in a southern accent. Again Jamie tried getting my attention. Sorry Jamie, not now. This place reminds me so much of-

"Drop your hazards and you are free to go." The attendant said then she said something to the brown haired guy known as 'Todd' before pointed at the black haired girl, Jamie and me.

"You three, dump your hazards and stay with me." I noticed Gabbe drop in a pink Swiss Army knife and the shaggy haired guy had green eyes and dumped a can of spray paint along with a box cutter. He reminded me so much of Cam, from Fallen! He even dropped in the same things Cam dropped into the box in Fallen!

I sighed and dropped in my pager, small switchblade, matches, and pepper spray. I saw the other kids drop in their cell phones. The new girl and Jamie hesitated.

"Drop it in. I brought four hidden cells." I whispered in Jamie's ear and threw in my cell, not caring if it was broken. Jamie nodded and threw in hers.

"I wonder who we're still waiting on." The attendant said and I looked at the girl who was staying with us. She closed her eyes and slowly dropped in her phone.

The boy called Todd and Gabbe left.

"I can show them the ropes." The guy who looked like Cam nodded at us.

"No can do, you're new again so you're back to square one. Always think twice before breaking parole, Briel." Attendant chick said and lead us down the hall, explaining Beds.

"Beds." She pointed to a cinder-block building. Gabbe and Todd were walking towards the building. 'Briel' was slowly walking behind them. I didn't bother paying attention to the 'dorm's' looks.

"Room sixty-three, for you..." The attendant pointed at the other girl.

"Luce." The girl said and I turned to face her.

"Nice to meet you, Luce. I'm Jade and this-" I pointed at Jamie. "-is Jamie." I smiled. Might as well form a group...

"Hey." Jamie waved.

"Hi." Luce said.

"Stick with us, no one wants to be alone in a place like this." I said and Luce nodded in relief.

"As for you two-"

"My father had it arranged for us to stay in room sixty-two." I said.

"Well that's what the chart says. Now leave your stuff in my office, you can unpack this afternoon."

"Yes, thank you..." Jamie trailed off.

"Randy."

"Thank you Randy." I said and we threw out suitcases with three other black trunks. Luce left her red duffel bag next to my suitcase. After a second I to not leave my purse there.

"Now, Randy. You were saying about Reds?" I asked.

"Reds." Randy pointed at a camera hanging from the ceiling. I wouldn't have noticed it before.

"Cameras?" Luce asked.

"Very good. We remind students all the time we're watching." For some reason she looked at me. "So don't screw up. That is if you can help it." Luce looked sad and confused and she put a hand on Luce's shoulder and told her something.

Then Randy clapped her hands.

"Okay orientation's over. Here's a map if you get lost, because you're on your own." Randy handed us each poorly drawn maps. "It's an hour before your first class, make yourself scarce, but remember. The Reds are watching."

Before we could say anything a thin black haired girl appeared in front of Luce.

"Ooooh! The Reds are watching!" She sang in a ghost story telling voice dancing around us.

"Is it me or does this place remind you of-" Jamie whispered.

"Fallen." I finished in a whispered. "Nah. It's just a coincidence-"

"Get out of here Arriane. Or I'll have you lobotomized." I could tell Randy felt for this girl, Arriane who mimed a jerking off motion.

"Just for that, you get to show these three around." Randy wrote notes in her book.

"Perfect. I was thinking about using new slaves." Arriane said tapping her finger to her chin.

Just then Mr. Cam-look-alike walked into the lobby and dumped somethings into the hazards box.

"This place is not scared to do a strip search, so if you have any 'hazards', just dump them now, and save yourself the trouble." He said.

"I'm not stupid enough to get caught." I said. "I might just have a switchblade in my boot, or an MP3." I whispered and pulled out my purple MP3 from my left boot, and threw it over my shoulder.

I heard Arriane laugh.

"Arriane." He said as if noticing her for the first time.

"Cam." She said back. I closed my eyes and whispered, "You know him?" At the same time Luce said it.

"Don't remind me." Arriane sighed and dragged us all out the door. I had to talk to Jamie alone!

"Uh you two go ahead, I need to talk to Jamie. We'll catch up in a few." I said as Jamie and I stopped walking.

"Okay. We'll be at the bleachers!" Arriane called as she lead Luce away.

"This can't be happening!" I yelled in a whisper and started pacing.

"I tried to tell you! But I can't believe it! We're living in Fallen!" Jamie squealed. "They were the Fallen characters! Todd, Arriane, Gabbe, Luce and Cam!"

"Shhh!" I hissed, grabbing Jamie's arm. "Don't say it so loud! No one can hear us or else we may alter the events!" Jamie didn't seem to hear me.

"I-I can meet everyone! I could hang out with Luce and-Oh my god! Daniel! I bet he'll be so hot!" Jamie squealed, jumping up and down.

I saw something move by the door and quickly covered Jamie's mouth with my hand.

"Shut up Jamie! No one and I mean no one can know we know what's gonna happen. We have to lay low and not cause any problems." I whispered.

"But it's Fallen! We just have to hang out with them!" Jamie whispered back when I took my hand off her mouth. Her eyes lit up. "Plus, you can hang out with Cam. You are in love with him and on his team after all." I closed my eyes and sighed. Hanging out with Cam would be like Heaven on Earth...

"Maybe we can hang out with them." I smiled. "But no messing with events to come." I paused, having heard something.

The door opened and Cam stepped out. He grinned at me and winked, (My heart skipped a beat) holding up my decoy MP3. Then he started walking towards us!

I smiled when Cam held up my decoy MP3.

"I guess this is yours."Cam said and handed me my MP3 decoy. I just threw it in my purse, and noticed Fallen was sticking out. I tried to pretend it wasn't a big deal so Cam wouldn't notice it.

"Thanks, um..." I trailed off acting like I didn't know what to call him. I knew more than I should, but he can't know that.

"Name's Cameron Briel. Call me Cam." Cam smiled.

"Cam...nice name." I smiled, acting like it was the first time I heard the name Cam.

"And what is a beautiful girl like you called?" Don't blush, Jade. DON'T BLUSH!

"They call me Jade. But my boyfriends call me N, for Nightmare." As if! I've never had a boyfriend. Good thing I spent my life learning how to act and lie...

I had to. No one can know what I am.

"Boyfriends?"

"A girl can't live without a man by her side." Ha! I've lived seventeen years without a boyfriend.

"Well I have to go. See you around N." Cam winked. I acted cool and smirked.

"Bye Camy." I smiled and turned around, walking away. I listened until I could no longer hear Cam's footsteps.

I sighed and grabbed Jamie's arm, making her walk with me.

"I saw sparks!" Jamie joked.

"Shut up!" I blushed. "It's not like he'd ever like me..." I whispered, looking down at my boots. I shook my head and put on a smile. "Well no time to waste! Let's go live a dream."

"Agreed. And Jade?" Jamie asked nervously.

"Yes?" I thought something was wrong.

"Um, tomorrow can you help me pick out something to wear? I'm not good at working with black clothes." I laughed.

I looked Jamie over. Pretty dark green eyes and dark blond hair that ended three inches under her shoulders. She was wearing dark jeans and a black T-shirt that was two sizes to big.

"Little Miss Fashion needs help?" I faked a gasp. "It's the end of the world!"

"Shut-up!" Jamie punched me in the arm. "I'm fashionable, but unlike you I don't wear black clothes. I've never worn anything black except for shoes!"

"Alright I'll help you. Now come on. We have to go with Arriane and Luce."

"Alright." Jamie nodded and I lead her towards the bleachers. As we walked I started to listen to my audio recording of Fallen, listening to what was supposed to be going through Luce's head, but we are in Fallen so, her thoughts might not be the same. But I keep getting the feeling that I'll need to keep my Fallen stuff close.

Out of the corner of my eyes I saw something black. A Shadow. I glanced at Jamie who didn't seem to notice anything.

"I'll just keep this to myself..." I thought. Then the Shadow moved and I heard a whisper.

"What side..."
