Roar of the Beast
It was 3:20 in the morning in the city of Rome. All of the citizens were asleep. All but one, that is. Only Albus stayed awake. As the son of the temple priest, it was his duty to watch and make sure it didn't emerge from the cave. Albus was tired. He longed for the sweet bliss of slumber, but he kept his eyes open, staring at the mouth of the cave, sword at the ready.
"With Jupiter as my witness, I shall smite any being who dares come through." He muttered under his breath.
The cave in the temple had been a mystery for many years. In the back wall of the temple, there stands a hole. Within the hole in the wall, is the cave of the Beast.
No one knows what the Beast looks like. They say that if you see the Beast, it will make you it's next victim, dragging you back to its lair, never to return.
Then he heard it. Three times the noise traveled through the cave and out of the hole. The Beast's roar, clear as day. Albus dropped his sword immediately and ran. He didn't want to be the Beast's next victim.
No one did.
