This is my first attempt at writing a Wicked fanfic. I recently started obsessing over the wonderful (no pun intended) musical and I'm currently reading the first book.
Before you ask: yes, I love the Glinda/Boq pairing. Exactly as much as I love the Elphaba/Fiyero pairing.
I hope you'll enjoy this little, angsty oneshot.
Glinda the Good ran without caring about the 'witch hunters' that would've questioned her haste; they were going to kill the only friend she had left, and she would never let them do that. She ran and ran for miles, almost ripping her gorgeous bubble dress she loved so much, she was always trying to take another road that would've led to Kiamo Ko, Elphaba's hiding place.
She suddenly bumped into something hard and cold, like tin, and she gasped when she noticed that what (or was it a who?) was in front of her was indeed made of tin. A tin man, holding an axe.
"My apologies", he said quickly, then walked past her.
"Wait!", she grabbed his arm, making him turn, "I have a question for you"
"I have no time to answer Glinda the Good's questions", he replied harshly.
She could've yelled at him but she then reminded herself that she was supposed to be the loveliest person in all of Oz.
"You almost called the Wicked Witch by name, I heard you. You know her, don't you?", he did not reply again so she continued, "Only who was at Shiz knew her name"
The tin woodman didn't say anything. Glinda looked into his blue eyes.
"Your voice is so familiar", she whispered, daringly trying to touch his tin face. He made a step back, out of her reach.
"Do I know you?", she asked, confused and upset.
"I have no idea. Maybe you knew me, but you never showed it; you surely don't know me now, Miss Galinda"
With that, he ran away, leaving Glinda alone in the middle of a gloomy Yellow Brick Road.
She didn't think about the last words he had said to her because she only wanted to save Elphaba.
