A/N: Hello! I'm sorry that I have been away from but I was not in the mood to write any story in a while. I do not know if I'll continue "Without you", I may leave it as a one-shot. So, about this is a very short one-shot that I decided to write. It's Katniss in 13 trying to deal with Peeta's absence. I was inspired by the song "And the world turned" by Gabe Dixon Band. You should really listen to it while reading the story. I'm sorry about any mistake that you may find, I am not used to writing in English. Please leave a review, they really make my day! I love you all!

Disclaimer: I do not own The Hunger Games trilogy. We have to thank Suzanne Collins for these amazing books.

She missed him. That's all she could think. If she could speak to him, she woud say these three little words. She would whisper them to him, meant only for his ears, she would kiss them in his skin, she would say them over and over again. I miss you, I miss you, I miss you.

Come back to me.

She did not allowed herself to think about him during the day. She had to be the brave, fearless Mockingjay. She had to pretend to be strong, to pretend like she was whole, like she did not feel a hole in her heart where he should be. So she kept her emotions at bay during sunlight, during the meetings, during lunch, during the propos, but at night she could let them run freely.

And so she did.

Clutching the pearl he had given her, the only connection she had to him aside from her memories, she thought about him. Sometimes she imagined how it would be if they reunited and her heart ached with longing. In her mind, she saw him, alive and well, standing in District 13, waiting for her. He would reach for her and she would hug him, she would hold him in her arms, never letting go. Because she couldn't lose him again. He would tilt her haid slowly and he would kiss her, soft and sweet, like he used to. And she would let him.

Other times, she would remember things about him. How he always smell of cinnamon and dill, how when he smiled at her his eyes would lit up, how safe she felt in his arms when he held her, even for the cameras. How he would calm her with tender words when she was upset.

How his presence kept her nightmares away.

And she wept. In the dark of the night she could not stop the tears that came, and she would sob quietly in her pillow, wishing he was there to soothe her fears, to make her feel strong again.

I miss you. Come back to me.

"Peeta..."

It was something she often did. She whispered his name, hoping he could hear her, that he knew she was coming for him. That she hadn't forgotten him. She kissed her pearl hoping that he could feel it, hoping that it was his lips she kissed and not the cool surface of the pearl.

When the night was over, and she had no more tears to spend, she would put her mask again, she woud built again the emotional walls that only he had succeeded to bring down and she would, or at least tried to, erase him from her mind. But once in a while a thought would come to her mind.

I miss you.

Come back to me.

Thanks for reading!
