At the Spear Pillar, Dialga was standing tall while doing nothing. Dawn, a young girl from Twinleaf Town, was there. The weird part was she had no idea how she got there, or what she was doing prior.
Dialga reared its giant head in the direction of Dawn, and she was immediately startled. Dawn always had a fear of Pokemon, but she never liked to talk about why. "I have been watching you…" Dawn suddenly heard a voice call out to her.
She clung on to one of the crumbling pillars, and tried to stay still. Dialga didn't move or anything, it just stared at Dawn. She wasn't even sure if it was the one that called out to Dawn. "You are a person who has distaste in Pokemon? From what I have heard this is true. That is such a shame, because that means you hate me as well."
Dialga's glowing eyes were still targeted at Dawn. She held on tighter to the pillar, when it started to crumble. Dawn stared up as a concrete piece with an unbelievable size was about to knock her clean in the head…
That was when Dawn woke up, and found herself lying in a pool of bed sheets and sweat.
It was the day Dawn was dreading ever since she first heard about the news. It was the day after her tenth birthday, which meant she was about to get a Pokemon and go on a journey. She opened her window after she finished freshening up and droopily looked down at her village, which only had four houses, including hers. This was the day she would face her fears. This was the day her whole life would take another course.
Dawn proceeded to lock the window and walk downstairs. She heard the sizzling of a stovetop get louder with every step she took. "Good morning, dear!" Her single mother greeted her. "Aren't you excited for your very first Pokemon?"
"Good morning, mom," Is all Dawn managed to say to her. After a quick breakfast, it was time for Dawn to go out into the world of Pokemon.
"Here's your bag," Dawn's mother grabbed a medium sized bag with many different pockets and areas. "Come back when you get it so I can see your adorable Pokemon!"
Dawn was confused. "Wait, why aren't I getting an extra set of clothes?" She asked.
"Goodbye, Dawn!" She didn't bother answering.
Dawn proceeded to run to Sandgem Town. She really wasn't in the mood to bump into Barry, so she went ahead without him. She then bursted into the Pokemon Lab with barely any energy, where she was greeted by Professor Rowan.
"Hello there, new trainer! Are you a boy or a girl?" He asked, since he was fiddling with a Pokedex.
Dawn was not impressed. "Turn around." She said blatantly as the professor turned around.
"I apologize, trainer to be," He told her. "Will you please tell me your name?"
"My name is Dawn, Professor Rowan." She said.
Professor Rowan nodded his head. "Excellent! Now I will find that briefcase of mine, so we can get started…"
Oh no, I can't be a trainer! I-I can't face my fear! Dawn thought. Well, I'll tell him that I don't want to be a Pokemon trainer.
However, Dawn could not find the words. She already promised her mother that she would try, but she couldn't do it. Just as Dawn was able to speak again, Professor Rowan looked panicked. "I just remembered that I left the briefcase with Lucas," He said out loud. "Dawn, was it? Will you please go to the lake for me, and retrieve a beret wearing trainer from there? We require him to make you a trainer."
Dawn felt worse. How do I get out of this mess? She wondered. However, she reached a conclusion that she would try anyway.
"I'll be right back, Professor Rowan. I'm off to find Lucas."
Sorry that it's somewhat sloppy.
