Through a Mirror, Darkly
"For now we see through a glass, darkly..." - 1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV)

A/N: Dean's Alice, but it's no Wonderland.
Through the Looking-Glass
"I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, sir,' said Alice, 'because I'm not myself you see" – 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', Lewis Carroll
Running his hand along the ornate frame, Dean thought there was something familiar about the mirror. Without warning, the surface glowed and he was pulled in through the glass.
He sat up to find his brother staring at him. "How about a hand up, Sammy?" he groaned.
Sam's face twisted with revulsion and he scooted back out of reach.
"Sammy?"
Dean turned to the oddly familiar voice to see... himself.
"Stay back, Dean," warned Sam, to the newcomer, "It's another of those cursed mirrors that create evil doppelgängers."
The other Dean scowled and raised his machete.
"Off with his head"
A/N: The Winchesters encountered a cursed, evil clone-producing mirror in one of my previous drabbles: "Double Trouble: On Reflection"

A/N: (Unrequited) love will tear them apart. Set post-season 8.
The Mirror Crack'd
"Love is a many splintered thing; don't be afraid now, just walk on in" - 'Ribbons', The Sisters of Mercy
Dean had been heading for the kitchen when he was accosted by an agitated Sam.
"Dude, I think Cas is possessed or something, 'cause he keeps repeating everything I do," hissed Sam.
Sticking his head around the corner, Dean stared at Castiel sitting patiently at the dining table with his hands folded primly in front of him.
"You okay, Cas?" he called.
Castiel gave a polite smile. "Hello, Dean. I'm fine, thank you."
Dean turned back to Sam. "Looks good to me."
Sam frowned and pushed past his brother.
"All right, Cas?" he asked, raising his hand in an abortive wave.
Castiel made a similar gesture. "All right, Sam?"
Sam sighed and stomped off. A moment later came the crashing sound of a door slammed shut.
With a look of abject dejection, Castiel pulled a magazine from his pocket and discarded it on the table. He walked off without another word.
Dean picked up the copy of Cosmopolitan which fell open at a dating advice column. Copying your date's actions can help build empathy... when he mirrors back you'll know he's into you too.
Dean rubbed at the sudden ache in his chest. No longer hungry, he turned and left.

A/N: Sam's unhappy about the hitchhiker. Set sometime season 7.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Winchesters
"Strange how paranoia can link up with reality now and then" - 'A Scanner Darkly', Philip K. Dick
"Hang in there, Dean," Sam cried, more for his own reassurance, as he cast a worried glance at his unconscious brother.
"I don't think he's gonna make it," came the sing-song voice from the backseat.
Sam spun around, but no one was there.
His heart clenched as his eye caught a movement in the rear-view mirror.
The reflection waved. "Miss me?"
"It's just your imagination. He's still in Hell," muttered Sam.
"Don't you know that objects in the mirror are closer than they appear?" grinned Lucifer, reaching out towards him.
Sam shuddered as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
A/N: Don't Panic!
