Five Things Kent Would Never Tell You About Himself
But Lyn Knows Anyway

One
Kent had a lovely singing voice. Few people knew he sang at all. Lyn only knew he sang because one evening, while riding down one of the riding trails in Caelin, she heard him. She remembered pulling her horse to a stop and climbing off to approach him undetected. She couldn't quite explain what drew her to his singing, his voice was far from a chorus of angels. It was much too deep for Elimine's chapels anyway. Still his voice rested on her chest and she pressed her hands over heart to keep it there, and it stayed there. It took root like a seed, sprouted into a crush and grew into love.

Two
Kent knew a lot of Sacean words. Sain mentioned to Lyn that Kent learned a few phrases to ask about her whereabouts when they were searching for her. What Lyn didn't know was how much he understood and picked up listening to her and Rath go back and forth when returning to Caelin. It wasn't until one day when Sain was being especially forward when flirting with her. Kent was muttering what she assumed was unintelligible grumbling. Until she realized that Kent wasn't just muttering aimlessly, she understood every word he was saying. Every filthy, angry word he was saying. She whirled around to face him so fast, her ponytail smacked her in the nose. He apologized for the off color language and she offered to teach him more. It was already established that she loved his voice, and his soft tones and heavy Lycian accent across her native language united the two places she had grown to view as home.

Three
Kent loved flowers. This wasn't an admission any man wanted make. To be honest, Kent loved flowering trees more than just any old flower. Lyn asked him when they left for Sacae if he'd miss the blossoms in spring, since there were no trees on the plains. He smiled at her, pressed his forehead against hers and sighed. He explained that the only reason he loved flowering trees was because they reminded him of his mother. Lyn he swore had his mother's same soft smile and clear eyes. What did he need with trees when he had her?

Four
Kent looked really good in royal blue. Not many people had ever seen Kent in anything but a shade of red or brown. One isolated time, when Mark believed that assassins were out for Eliwood, he asked Kent to wear Eliwood's clothes and be a diversion. Lyn thought he looked quite smashing Eliwood's blue jacket. Before he left, Lyn pulled him close and rubbed her nose against his and leave a lingering kiss on his lips and told him to wear blue more often. Shortly after this incident, a rumor spread that Lyn was cheating on Kent with Eliwood (my did she have a thing for red heads!).

Five
Kent had a talented tongue. This is something even Lyn would not mention to anyone, she wanted to keep some of the benefits of that truth to herself. She hadn't realized his talent for kissing until some time during their adventure. True, they had kissed before, but because of fear of being caught, they had always been very chaste. It wasn't until one night, they were lying on the grass and he moved in for a kiss as usual. Only this time, he nibbled at her bottom lip and she gasped. He used that opening to slip his tongue in and caress the roof of her mouth slowly and gently. It wasn't really much, and since then they had gone further, but that first time had left Lyn curling her toes and blushing whenever he was around.
