A Knock on the Door
Copy
That was what's happening between the seven years old silver haired boy and his mirror image.
They were playing a game of copycat.
Having fun and trying their best not cause too much damage.
Suddenly, the mirror image stopped his action.
Hearing a repeated tap tap tap
Then bringing his gaze to his brother's direction.
Zero-kun?
He called out to his brother
What is that tapping? It's a bit of a bother
Said the mirror image with annoyance
Ichiru, there is no tapping
The little mirror image, Ichiru, shrugged his shoulders and continued playing.
Months past and Ichiru still heard the tapping.
He did not want to tell this to Zero. Seeing as he didn't want to start a fuss.
As the months turned into years, Ichiru grew and lived his life with ease.
Oh how I wish life was like that.
At the age of thirteen, Ichiru fell sick and became than snow.
He started coughing and sneezing.
His body freezing from head to toe.
Still, he heard the annoying tap.
Like a never dying alarm clock.
Ichiru tried to mock, but that would make him look crazy.
He just laid in bed and felt hazy.
On that same night, Ichiru woke up with a fright.
In his dreams, all he saw was darkness. And that darn tapping, much to his annoyance.
He remembered following the never ending tapping.
He walked for miles and miles.
Finally, he came to a stop in front of a door, and the tapping grew more. It became hard to ignore.
He opened the door and was greeted by a bright white light. Thus caused his wake up fright.
The dream repeated itself for a few weeks. Ichiru became sicker and ignored his sleeps.
Zero became more nervous at his brother's stranger behaviors.
He always told himself that things would be better and Ichiru will become healthier.
He always thought the same thing. Going to bed with worried feelings.
Until one night, those feeling came to life as he saw Ichiru was screaming that he felt stinging in his chest. Like a knife.
His eyes were closed. His skin became whiter than a ghost.
The look on Ichiru's face was what hurt Zero the most.
All Ichiru could see was darkness and only could her that tapping from a distance.
He repeated his actions from the night before, until he stood in front of that door.
He opened the door and ignored the light. Deciding that he wanted to see what's behind the door.
Though, an odd creature filled his sight.
Said creature had a snow white skin. And attached to his back where red wings.
It is time
Said the creature looking at Ichiru.
But, you must do one thing before you get through
Ichiru smiled at the beautiful creature and nodded his head.
Moments later, tears were shed.
Goodbyes were said.
And Ichiru returned to his angelic creature.
He looked up at him and smiled.
Ichiru took the creature's hand and walked towards the bright light.
Zero vowed that he will always love his brother eternally. Until they meet in heaven above happily.
A/N: this is my version of how Ichiru died.
