A more peaceful world — Lelouch asked Nunnally what she wished for many times over the years, and she always replied that she wished the world was a peaceful place. When she was younger, she would add, "And I wish to marry my brother when I grow up!" and when she was older, she would say, "I wish I could see everyone's faces again, too." But a peaceful world had always been her most prominent wish, and Lelouch made it his wish to make hers come true.
He had succeeded, in a way. The wars had stopped long ago and the world was united as one — not as one nation, but rather one heart. Nunnally had changed with the world, and just as Princess Nunnally vi Britannia once became Nunnally Lamperouge, she was now Nunnally, the Hundredth Empress of Britannia.
But behind the grand title, she was still Lelouch's Nunnally. She was, and always would be, his younger sister first and foremost, and any other title would be second. And despite the changes that had occurred both inside and outside of her, there was much that hadn't changed. Though she no longer stayed on campus, she continued to see the remnants of the student council once a week if she could; and if she couldn't, she would write letters to them.
She still folded paper cranes every evening, and when asked what she would ask for if she folded them all, she would say that she'll ask for her brother to watch over her and be happy.
Warm hands and a soft voice tucked her into bed at night as they did before, and although it was Suzaku who kissed her forehead and stayed with her until she grew quiet, Nunnally would often feel a small tug on her other hand, as if someone that she couldn't quite see was holding it, and she would smile and say, "Good night, Suzaku. Good night, big brother."
