She woke up to the morning light reflecting off their bedroom window.

Groggy, she groaned (Ugh!) and scrambled on her nightstand to find her glasses. Fumbling, she grasped her glasses. Cat-eye shaped, just like her mother's-except they were framed in Tina's favorite shade of cerulean blue.

She pushed them on her face, and, dismayed, noted James' absence next to her. In an attempt to differentiate himself from his still-thriving Italian father, he just went by his full name now-James Poplopovich. It saddened her when she thought of how she used to be so enamored with Jimmy Jr., and, with his sudden name change, came a new wave of indifference. She just didn't love James as much as she loved Jimmy, and she was starting to suspect James didn't love her, either.

Tina smiled softly as she thought of her teenage years, obsessed with Jimmy Jr's posterior. Funny how it lead to this five years of marriage for the 27-year-old couple.

She pulled herself out of bed, studying her reflection in the mirror. Her bright red nightshirt hung limply on her curves, and her eyes were droopy and bleary. I look gross.

She brushed back her raven black bangs-her hairstyle hadn't changed much since her adolescence-and traipsed through the house to go into the kitchen. The hallway was lined with photographs. Smiling pictures of Tina and James made a sentimental gallery of sorts.

Finally, she got to the kitchen. James wasn't there. He was always there. She grew slightly worried, scanning the kitchen with her eyes. At last, she noticed a napkin with blue ink scrawled on it.

Tina,
I'm leaving.

That's it? Five years of marriage, and all she got were three messy words on a brown napkin?

She sunk to the bottom, not crying. She was overcome with emotion, but didn't express it. She never could-she felt all these things, but didn't cry. All she knew to do was groan.

Ugh.
