Two teenagers walk through a destroyed village. Arrows were everywhere. Houses were caved in, bodies littered the ground and the gravel paths were stained with blood.
"I can't believe it." A tan teen with curly brown hair was shocked by the scenery.
"Well, believe it. These mobs are capable of anything." The other teen picked up a doll that was lying next to a dead child's body.
"Why are we always too late?" The first teen saw the doll that his sister held. His sister squeezed the doll and threw it into a nearby bush.
"They strike at night." The female looked over the once lively village and scowled. "This attack doesn't look like an average attack. It's different from the others we've seen today. There's something off about it."
"How can you tell?" The male was slightly intrigued by the theory.
"Do you see any zombie corpses? They don't always escape. There's always a few stragglers. Look around for yourself. There's too many explosions too."
"Maybe it was a sole creeper attack. They're extremely rare, but they do happen."
"Unlikely. There wouldn't be as many whole bodies left."
"Let's go back and research then, Ilae." Ilae nodded her head. She turned to face her brother, reached in her back sack and pulled out a loaf of bread. She ripped it in half and gave a half to her curly haired sibling.
"Thanks. I'm starving." He bit hungrily into the bread and Ilae shook her head.
"Please, we ate before we left, Alik. You can't be that hungry." They began to go in the direction they came. Ilae stepped over a supposedly dead villager. The villager stirred and grabbed her ankle.
"Ilae!" Ilae quickly grabbed her axe from her waist and chopped off the villager, now zombie's head. Blood gushed out and pooled around the decapitated head's base. Ilae bent down and released herself from the zombie's grip. Alik looked over Ilae's bent form and saw a figure approaching hem in the distance from atop a hill.
"We've got it over here!" Alik shouted, assuming the figure was another scoper. Scopers went to villages while they were being attacked or after they had been attacked. They salvage what they can, help survivors. Alik squinted and the sunlight shinned on a weapon the stranger had. The stranger rushed towards him. Alik could see that he had a diamond sword.
"Alik, who are you-" Ilae stood up and was met with glowing white eyes. Alik took out his sword, surprised the man's speed. When he raised it to defend his sister, the white eyed man had vanished. The duo was silent for a moment before Ilae spoke.
"We better burn this village and head home." Ilae took out some flint and steel from her pocket and walked over to a house and set it ablaze. Knowing the fire would spread from there, she began to head in the direction they had come from with Alik following closely behind.
"Who was that?" Alik asked. He furrowed his brow. "What was that?"
"I don't know." Ilae answered.
