A/N: a really short drabble that I found in one of my folders and decided to post in my two second span of empty time. All mistakes are mine. Fixed the mistakes I found.

Disclaimer: I'm really tired of you guys rubbing this fact in my face but...surprise surprise I still own nothing.

It's Meredith...the girl with the bomb is Meredith.

It's a statement that causes his heart to drop into his chest, causes all the oxygen to leave his lungs. And he tilts his head a fraction of an inch silently asking Yang if she's lying, if the girl he gave his heart to the night he brought her to his trailer had really been dumb enough to replace her fingers with the paramedics.

Anger flashes across his face as he mentally blames the paramedic, the one who caused Meredith his broken Meredith to place her hand on an exploding piece of metal.

Then the beeping of the monitors, the shouts of the nurses alert him that he has a job to do, a life to save and as he shouts out commands her face continues to haunt his memories. From the first night at Joe's to that morning when she told him she had a feeling.

As he stands there watching his boss's husband crash on the table, his face is replaced with hers. As he pounds his fist on Tucker's chest his hands are replaced with her small ones, and all he understands is he needs to save him. Because Tucker is no longer Tucker, Tucker is now his dark and twisty Meredith and if she dies he will along with her.

"I can't remember our last kiss..."

And he begins to realize that he doesn't want her to have to struggle to remember their last kiss.

As their lips crash together in a bruising passionate kiss that leaves her breathless he hopes she won't have too.

A/N: I know the last line was a bit rushed but I was tired so... Review
