Chapter 1: Territory

Off the orbit of the dreadful planet Lotiss III, an Inquisition ship borders. Chief Inquisitor Beck leads this starship to the planets surface, Lotiss III was a desolate wasteland, until recent information was acquired that Orks have been using this planet as a base to hold troops, for an oncoming attack. Beck was a complex man. Hard to read him or what emotion he was feeling. Usually he kept a sturdy look on his face and never showed fear, even when all hope was lost. Anger even wasn't popularly expressed by him. His face kept a look, to deceive the untrustworthy, and confuse even the most rough of interrogators. He was a tall man, wearing heavy armor, and a white over-coat. A bolt pistol lay at his hip; strapped to his belt. He was thinning at the top, but not enough to notice. His hair was gray and long in the back.

"Move in, I want three squads of Grey Knights behind me as we deploy to the surface, we will swiftly make our way to the encampment. The terminators will meet us there. We make our move quick and cunning." Beck said, speaking clear, he never repeated himself. The wind swept through the air, it blew his hair back. Their was a vibration as the ship landed, it was a desert place, just as described in the report. Many rocks, but nothing else.

"Sir, not to upstage you, or question your authority, but isn't this mission, well, more for the Space Marines to handle…I mean Orks?" A solider said, fearful of the response.

"We wouldn't be here if those incompetent oafs could handle this, I despise every chapter, and yet I pity them." Beck said, as he walked for the deployment shaft, it lowered him down to the planet.

His men did as ordered and followed behind him. Marching, yet trying to remain quiet.

"They are camped at the base of the mountain ahead." Beck said pointing to it.

They were close, carrying bravery at their sides. Once they were almost in sight of the encampment Beck halted, the Grey Knights did the same.

"The terminators will arrive around now." He said.

And it was so, only a moment later two squads of terminators walked up the men.

We are ready, by your command sir." One of them said.

Beck nodded and everyone including him, moved to the battle position. Beck lifted his fist, and was about to give the order when he heard gunshots. Beck whipped his head, facing the encampment. He saw Men in black and white armor, Space Marines, Black Templar troops.

They heard a tear and rumble. Suddenly trees crumbled to the ground and a Dreadnought stumbled in, grabbing Orks and crushing them with its power fist. Within minutes the encampment was filled with smoke and once it cleared there were ranks of Black Templar in rows, and Ork bodies littered the ground.

"Bastards." Beck muttered.

He walked forward, his loyal men followed.

"What is going on here, we had orders, and nobody informed us that any Space Marines would be here." Beck said, keeping his calmness.

"Well we though this was a little big for you guys, and said hey maybe we could clean it up for you, so why don't you kids head on home." The sergeant said.

Beck narrowed his eyes, and turned away. His men followed.
