Author's note: My poems do not directly involve the Animorphs, but rather convey their feelings at some point of their lives. Okay, 'nough of my babbling, here we go:J
SACRED BELIEF
By TRIXSTER
A crumbling dawn
Casts dim light
Upon the ominous, scarred landscape.
An unnerving silence
Swallow the symphony
Of stifled screams.
Distant memories
Of a simple truth
Echo falsely
Within the searing cavity
In my lifeless soul.
A bitter loyalty to humanity
Is broken
By forbidden failure.
A condemning idealism
Mirrors the horror
Of a manipulative reality.
The sour burden upon
My battered shoulders
Grimly harmonizes with
The imbedded agony in my heart.
Yet as I dance among
The flaming pool of doom,
There is an eerie whisper
That utters something
So wild, so sacred
I dare not believeā¦
Hope.
Flames? Questions? Comments? All excepted. Critic is also helpful on all my poems. :0)
