Sarah: Now this is going to sound stupid, but I was crying over not being able to find the bottoms to my bikini. I was frustrated because they weren't anywhere in my room (and nowhere in the house, for that fact). Luckily, I had some emergency chocolate. It kind of inspired me to write this. Chocolate is a Girl's Best Friend
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but that was probably before anyone knew about the effects chocolate had on a girl. Chocolate could stable the insecure mind and stops the tears from flowing. Chocolate helped with nightmares. Chocolate could sweep a girl off her feet and sexually stimulate her.
Yes, chocolate could do pretty much everything for a girl, except bring back the love of her life. Unfortunately, chocolate didn't have the same effects on men as it did on women. Men didn't know what they were truly missing.
And so, Gali found herself sighing, popping a piece of chocolate into her mouth every so often, wishing that the chocolate would make her ex-boyfriend come back to her. Sadly, it was just wishing and not reality.
"She's starting to freak me out." Kotu mumbled to Hahli and Macku.
The three had been watching their friend as she lost herself in depths despair.
"She's heartbroken." Hahli hissed, glaring her large blue eyes at Kotu.
"Someone should go talk to her." Macku said. Her two friends looked at their feet sheepishly. "Fine, guess I'll talk to her."
Puffing out her chest, Macku walked over to her and sat down. She said, "Do you want to talk?"
"Did I do something wrong?" Gali asked her.
"I don't think so."
"Then why did he break up with me? I must have done something wrong. It only make sense!"
"You didn't do anything wrong." Kotu said, sitting down on her other side.
"He's just stupid." Hahli said, giving her a squeeze as she wedged in between Macku and Gali.
Gali smiled, popping another piece of chocolate in her mouth.
"Yeah," Kotu said, taking a piece for herself, "Jake's just an idiot."
"The French are glad to die for love," Macku sang.
"They delight in fighting duels," Kotu followed.
"But I prefer a man who lives and gives expensive goods." Hahli half sang, half giggled.
"A kiss on the hand is quite continental." Macku sang.
"But chocolate is a girl's best friend!" Gali laughed.
"Did you hear?" Pohatu asked Tahu as the two walked over to Gali's. "Jake broke up with Gali."
"When?" Tahu asked, surprised.
"About a few hours ago. You know, she's going to need a shoulder to cry on." Pohatu winked at him.
A bright pink flush rose to Tahu's cheeks.
"Gali and I are just friends."
"The best of friends."
"Pohatu, I don't like Gali like that... well, maybe I do, but she doesn't like me like that."
"Still, she'll need someone. And if you, her best friend won't be there, Lewa, Onua, or I will step in to your place."
"What about Kopaka?" Tahu asked.
"Psh! He thinks of Gali as a little sister."
"Good."
"How's that good?"
"Never mind."
The two reached to door and Pohatu was about to ring the bell when he heard something.
"Listen." Pohatu hissed.
The two pressed their ears to the door and listened intently. Inside they heard four female voices singing, "Chocolate is a girl's best friend!"
Sarah: For those of you who don't know, chocolate's effects are ten times more effective to a woman than sex. Just putting it out there. Anyway, I hope anyone didn't really mind me changing the lyrics to "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend."
