'Morning, Mum, Dad

'Morning, Mum, Dad.' Chris said cheerily.

'Good morning.' Leo replied wondering what had brought on this suddenly very happy mood. His son had been extremely miserable three days ago and suddenly he's as happy as can be.

'So what's for breakfast?'

'Well you have a wonderful choice. Would you like toast or burnt toast?' Piper mimicked his cheerful mood with a lot of sarcasm. She wasn't the happiest of people in the mornings

'Hmmm, I think I will go out for breakfast today. See you later.' He walked out of the kitchen with a huge smile on his face.

'What has got into that boy?' Piper asked Leo staring into the space he had just vacated.

'What boy?' Wyatt, Chris' older brother, walked in.

'Chris. He's been a little too happy.' Leo said getting up from his seat, preparing to leave the house.

'I have noticed that lately. Where is he now?'

'He said he would go out for breakfast. Apart from that I have no idea what he's doing.' The truth is Wyatt knew exactly what his brother was getting up to. But he had made a promise to his brother that he wouldn't tell their parents.

'I have to go now Piper but I can talk to him when I come back if you like.'

'No, don't do that you know he's as stubborn as ever. You'll only make him angry.'

'Mum's right, Dad, he'll tell you when he's ready.' Realising he had maybe said a little too much he quickly covered his tracks. 'That is if he has something to tell.' He laughed and grabbed some toast before orbing away.

'I swear this family needs a shrink.'

'Speak for yourself!' Leo walked out of the kitchen to the front door.

Meanwhile Chris was outside a café watching several people pass until he noticed someone familiar.

'Hey, you!' said a woman approaching him.

'Hey.' He smiled at her, he could hardly contain himself.

This was no ordinary girl he was with, her name was Lily and she was the most amazing girl you've ever met. Well, that's what Chris thought anyway. He has been meeting her for the past three days, secretly. He was really falling for her, he was finally happy for once.

'Sorry, about the other night. I never expected my brother to be awake so late.'

'It's no problem he seems like a nice guy. I wish I could have stayed, though!'

'Yeah, you and me both!' he laughed placing his hand over hers. She smiled up at him.

I swear this girl can't be real. Throughout the history of the Halliwell line we've had extremely bad luck, especially in relationships. I really can't believe that nothing has gone wrong, yet.

'Chris?' said the friendly voice of his Aunt Phoebe.

'Hi Phoebs!' he was only slightly surprised. 'I'd like you to meet Lily. Lily this is my Aunt Phoebe.' He felt awkward he hadn't planned on introducing her to any of the family. Not just yet anyway.

I guess I spoke too soon.

'Hi, it's nice to meet you.' Lily held out her hand.

Phoebe took it gladly. 'So, Chris do you mind if I talk to you for a sec?'

'Sure. I'll be right back, okay.' He followed his aunt to a corner in the café.

'Chris?'

'Wyatt found out now you've found out, there really isn't a chance of me having a good relationship, is there?!' he mused.

'If you don't want me to tell I won't but I don't see any reason for you to hide. She seems really lovely, she's really pretty. I'm sure it'll work out.'

'Ha! How many guys have you dated Phoebs? It took you eight years to find Coop! It'll take me ages to find someone I truly love. Our family tend to screw things up, a lot and not just for themselves either. I really like her.'

'Well, in that case I won't tell Piper. But you have to!' she pointed a finger at him said her good byes then walked away.

Cool, all I have to do is tell mum...
