When Molly had agreed to watch Fred II for the day, she wasn't expecting him to be as energetic as he was. He was always on the move, always wanting to do something. George had warned her about it, but she had thought he was over exaggerating because it was his first child. But he wasn't, he was completely right about Fred being "all over the place." He reminded her a lot of George and the late Fred when they were little.
Feeling tears well up in her eyes, Molly sat down on the couch closest to her. Whenever she thought about her son, she always started to cry and this time was no different. Growing increasingly angry at herself, she wiped her tears away and tried to pull herself together.
"Granna?" A small voice came from before her. "I didn't mean to make you cwy," Fred said as he as he quickly made his way towards Molly and straddled her lap. "I sowwy," he said as he wrapped his chubby arms around Molly's neck and gave her a tight hug.
"Oh, sweetheart," Molly said as she hugged Fred back. "It's not your fault." Feeling Fred's grip loosen around her neck, she started to softly laugh when she got a quizzical look from her grandson. "Grandma's just being silly," she added as she cradled Fred's face with her hands and softly kissed his forehead.
"Granna's not silly," Fred said as he nodded his head in disagreement.
"Thank you, love," Molly replied as Fred rested his head on her chest and cuddled close to her.
Looking at Fred closely, Molly softly smiled to herself. He was always so willing to cheer people up, just like his father and uncle. He was always happy and ready to have fun and that's one thing she loved about him.
"I love you, Freddie," she said softly as she felt Fred's breathing slow down.
"I love you too, Granna," Fred replied as he looked up at Molly and smiled at her tiredly.
Kissing the top of Fred's head, Molly accioed a foot rest and set both of her feet on top of it. She figured she would just sit there and relax because there was no doubt in her mind that after Fred woke up, she wouldn't have time to rest.
Feeling the bliss of sleepiness come across her, Molly closed her eyes and within seconds, she was happily sleeping, just like her grandson.
