I Remember Mimi
A Quantum Leap/Drew Carey Show Crossover

Chapter 1
Sam felt the familiar tingle that signalled the end of one leap and the beginning of the next. Somehow, through all the odds, he managed to put everything back the way it should have been. Sam always took a small sense of pride in being able to patch people's lives up even though he felt that his would never return to a sense of normalcy. It really seemed at times to be what kept him from giving up. Once the tingle left his body, he opened his eyes to the new life that he'd been thrust into. For once, life began pretty normal. He was in an office. Nothing fancy, just an office. According to the calendar on what he supposed to be his desk, the year was 1998. A closer inspection revealed a little secret about his host...he or she obviously collected those little ugly things...what were they called? Sam's swiss-cheese mind couldn't remember, but he did remember these stupid little ugly things with the hair. Lots of big neon colored hair. Sam hoped that Al would get there before something bad happened, as it usually did.
"Maybe its best if I got a look at this body." Sam thought, and decided to find the nearest restroom. First, though, he had to decide what sex he was. He looked down and almost went blind from the horrid blast of bright color he witnessed. There it was in a bright red and blue silk...the absolutely ugliest mumu he'd ever laid eyes on. Well, he knew he was a woman, and quite possibly a woman with the worst taste he'd ever seen. As Sam sprinted to the nearest bathroom, he noticed that most of the people that he came in contact with seemed to avoid him with the utmost of fear, as if this person was one they never ever wanted to cross. Upon locating the ladies' room, Sam checked the mirror. What looked back at him was a face which rivalled that of a circus clown. Thick blue eyeshadow, a ton of rouge and enough harispray to guard her head from any imaginiable head trauma.
"Oh boy." Sam sighed.
(At this point you'd normally see the Quantum Leap opening sequence, but this one has the cool QL theme replaced by "Cleveland Rocks" by the Presidents of the United States of America)
