Snape studied Draco. He knew the boy was soon to receive the dark mark. Sighing, he asked, "Are you sure this is what you want?"
Draco nodded stiffly. "Yes, I am sure."
"Why are you choosing this path?"
Draco frowned. "Now? I have no choice, I have to do it to protect my family."
Snape caught the word now. "Was your reason different when you were younger?"
Draco looked down at his hands in his lap. "Yeah."
"And what was your reason when you were younger?"
"There was a void in my life I was trying to fill."
"And what was that?"
"My Dad never hugged me."
Author Note: This goofy drabble came about when I saw a motivational poster in the library showing Dear Draco about third year with the saying, Hug your child, or they might turn out to be death eaters and we don't want that. And thus this drabble. Poor Draco.
