It's so peaceful here. And yet...there's something more hiding in the peace...something dark, something twisted and something evil. But most of all; something sad. The lapping sea waves seem to be singing the story of the evil...if only I could understand it. I can only hear the music, but I know there are words. I have never heard, but I know they are there. Yet...today, something is different about the waves' song. Something more...alive and something sung with more passion then ever before. It is then, sitting still on the sand, that I realize that this time; there really is someone singing. As I glance around the beach, looking for the singer, a tall man emerges from behind a large rock. My eyes lock onto his and he stops singing, offering me a small smile. I remain frozen for what must have been at least a minute, then I smile back. For a moment, I see surprise, shock and then happiness flicker in his eyes, then he abruptly turns to face the ocean. I stand and take a step towards him, nervousness flowing in my veins, but also determination to speak with him. I cross the beach over to where he is standing and for a moment, just stand behind him, too nervous to say anything, yet too nervous to leave for fear of him hearing me and noticing my presence. As I stand there, unsure of what to do, he sighs deeply and turns to face me as if he'd known all along that I was standing there. He doesn't say anything, he merely looks at me. I step backwards nervously and his eyes are suddenly full of sadness. The he turns and walks away slowly, as if hoping I would stop him. But I merely watch him go, too scared to follow.
