A/N: This one popped into my head when I was in one of my depressed 'I'm never going to get over him' moods, which I am constantly in... Anyway that's enough about that...

Hope you enjoy this, even though it's as angsty as all the others...

Luv ya! FireAtWill52 :)

BTW: Yes Hermione does have a younger sister. For those who don't believe me, ask J.K.Rowling herself.

Win some, lose some:

Ron stood trembling, next to Harry, his best friend, at the alter. They were patiently awaiting the entrance of his wife to be; Hermione Jane Granger.

Ron couldn't believe this day had actually come. But it was here, and in about 20 minutes time, Hermione Granger wouldn't be Hermione Granger anymore.

Suddenly, the doors at the end of the hall opened, and the Bridesmaids entered. Ginny came through first, eyes red from crying, yet still looking stunning in her pale lilac dress. Luna and Hermione's younger sister, Emily, followed her slowly down the aisle. Ginny briefly met Ron's eyes, and managed to grace him with a shaky smile as she stepped to her place off to the side of where Hermione would soon stand.

And then, an angel was coming towards them.

She looked amazing.

Ron vaguely wondered if he'd ever seen her look so beautiful. He quickly deduced that he hadn't.

She walked gracefully to them on her fathers arm, and he lifted her veil for a moment to kiss his daughters cheek.

Then she was standing before him, smiling at him.

He smiled back.

He'd never felt so many emotions running through him.

He wasn't sure he could last the whole service; he was in danger of breaking down.

Ginny was crying silently.

So were Ron's parents.

He straightened his back and tried to be strong.

It didn't work.

Tears formed in his eyes, and he let them fall.

He wasn't ashamed, not anymore.

So what if the whole world knew how he felt?

So what if the whole world knew that he loved her?

He didn't care anymore.

She was gazing at him, and her own eyes were filled with tears.

He studied her as attentively as he dared.

When she whispered "I do," he felt his heart break.

Nonetheless, he handed the Minister the rings, and Hermione Granger became Hermione Potter, and Ron Weasley stood attendance as his best friend married the only woman he would ever love.

He didn't try to stop it.

What was the point?

You win some, and you lose some.

Hermione loved Harry.

Ron had lost.

Fin.
