Note: Another one shot. I'm so sorry I still don't have updates, but thing have been hectic. This might come as a shock, but I found out I was pregnant a few days ago. Hee, anyway, I hope you like this Chlollie bit
Oliver let the snow crunch beneath his feet while he rappidly walked down the sidewalks of Metropolis, determined to get to the Inquisitor to see Lois again. He hadn't expected to see her little blond cousin to crash into him with a red, tear stained face. He actually remembered it well, he'd been working with her and Clark [her mostly over the past summer, but he didn't recognize the depression in it.
"Whoa-uh, sorry-" She mumbled, not bothering to look who it was she ran into.
"Chlo-Chloe?" Oliver grabbed her arm to see what was up. She looked up at him with wide eyes and sighed in relief at his face.
"Oh...Oliver, you're here...in Metropolis. Something urgent come up? Anything you need my help with?" Chloe immediately questioned, wiping away her tears and sucking it up. It surprised him how well she could transaction from this sad, incredibly adorable, girl to a tough one with a grin on her face.
"No-no, just having a break. Anything you need to talk about?" Oliver asked his own questioned, grasping both shoulders so she wouldn't run. And she didn't try it.
"Nope, nothin' to talk about here. I got something in my eye an-"
"Save it." Oliver cut her off immediately.
"Hey, don't take that town with me." Chloe raised her own voice. "I don't care if your a billionaire and a superhero, I don't want to hear you raising your voice at me, you got that Mr. Queen?"
"I'll take any tone I want to, your not my boss! Hell, I'm your boss!" Oliver argued back. Stubborn vs stubborn, it was bound to get interesting. "Now tell me whats wrong."
"It's none of your goddamn business. Now keep your nose where it belongs!" Chloe yelled and people started to stare.
"It's not like you ever do!" Oliver quipped. Chloe glared at him. "Now tell me."
"I'll kick you if you don't get out of my way." Chloe threatened, glancing at his knee for emphasis.
"Oh shut u--OW!" Oliver grabbed his leg. "What the freaking hell is wrong with you!"
"I told you." Chloe crossed her arms. "Move."
"No." Oliver gasped, sucking up the pain enough to put his leg back in position. "Not until you tell me what's wrong."
Chloe sighed and shook her head, running a hand through her hair, covered in snow. "Fine. Have it your way. But this may come as a shock to you."
"Go ahead." Oliver felt a bit of satisfaction over this victory.
"I walked in on Lois and Clark kissing." Olivers heart immediately sunk at these few words. "I didn't let them know I was there, I just...left."
"Oh..." Oliver coughed and nodded. "Oh! Well, that's-uhm, I'm really sorry."
"I'm really sorry too." Chloe placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Why?" Oliver asked, tilting his head a bit.
"It's pretty obvious you came here to see Lois..and, well...she's moved on. Been moved on, Oliver." Chloe said, sadly. Oliver frowned and nodded.
"Well, I guess I should head back to my flat...wanna come?" Oliver offered, nodding to the big clock tower a few yards away.
"Oh- I shouldn't...Clark needs m--" Chloe paused for a moment, shocked that her instinct was to say "Clark needs me". It was time to break the habbit. She looked at him and smiled. "Sure."
