I woke up. I couldn't help feeling happy, today Sonic was finally taking me out on a date. I went to the mirror and began doing my daily routine of putting on my boots, clothes and bracelets. Maybe this time, this time it would work. I practically ran out of the door that morning, I was... happy?
The sun beated down on me as I walked through the street, a mild wind refreshed my skin, today was definitely a good day. Eventually I made it to the bottom of the hill, I scampered up the grassy hill to see him sleeping under the shade of a tree, he looked peaceful and tranquilized. His eyebrows slightly raising with each breath." Sonic". I said. One eye opened, he looked at me, and smiled warily. He seemed agitated and uncomfortable after a few deep breaths he said "Amy do you know why I invited you to talk with me, I invited you because Amy I'm...I'm going to war".
I stared at him. Not blinking, not crying, just staring. A bullet had just pierced my heart in two, he carried on talking but I wasn't listening anymore, my throat was dry and my heart had stopped beating. My brain was telling me to speak but, all I could do was stare. Eventually I took off down the hill, I didn't look back. The weather had took a turn for the worst and it was raining heavily, I was drenched in water.
After running for a while I couldn't take it anymore, I collapsed in a heap on the gravel. Tears rolling down my face, my head banging and my knees were probably grazed. Soon after I was lifted up and kissed on forehead. " Amy don't cry, please" Sonic pleaded. " I gazed into his eyes, he gazed into mine, I couldn't tell if he was crying or if it was the rain but he began to lean in closer.
" Hey Sonic!" Tails and Knuckles yelled in unison.
Both our eyes were averted to the pair running up to us. Sonic placed me on my feet. My head was hurting I had to think of a way for him to stay, then it clicked. I turned to Sonic and announced "Sonic I'm coming with you".
