The Doctor was as usual running from a very irate crowd; he really didn't fancy becoming the living embodiment of the Enshu, the God of the Sun.

Mainly because it involved being staked out in the desert so that Enshu could take what belonged to him.

He was cursing the fact that he'd parked the TARDIS so far away and he wasn't used to running so far and so hard.

Usually they gave up when they realised he was too fast, but not these. They seemed determined to catch him.

He was splashing through a stream when his mobile rang and out of habit answered it.

"Hiya Doc!" the voice of Captain Harkness rang in his ear. "Watcha doing?"

The tone in Jack's voice was unmistakable, he was drunk and he was flirting with him.

"Oh, you know, the usual...running for my life!" he yelled and swerved as an arrow buried itself in the bed of the stream.

"That's nice...so how about when you've finished, you pay me a visit and I can make you out of breath for another reason. It is Christmas and I have a present for you."

The Doctor scowled and was very tempted to throw the phone away.

"Not now Jack."

Another arrow narrowly missed him.

"So Doctor...how about it? I have mistletoe and since you'll never let me buy that drink, I think I deserve a least one Christmas kiss," Jack drawled, ignoring what the Doctor said.

The Doctor scowled and thankfully the sight of the TARDIS ahead stopped him replying. He barrelled into the TARDIS and with phone still in hand set her back into the Vortex.

Jack woke the next morning with a hangover and all he wanted to do bury his head in a bucket of ice and what was that bunch of mistletoe doing there?

What he got was the TARDIS materialising and one very irate Time Lord crashing through his office door, phone up to his mouth and scowling...not a good look on a Time Lord.

His head rang when the Doctor slammed the phone down on his desk and his heart raced when the Doctor grabbed hold of the mistletoe and kissed him.

Jack was breathless by the time the Doctor pulled away and then his ear's felt blistered when the Doctor yelled.

"What part of not now Jack do you not understand!"
