Kensi sighed sadly as she shut off the alarm clock. She looked over at the empty side of the bed and felt the sadness sinking down. Callen was deep undercover. She hadn't seen him in a month and today was their 7 year wedding anniversary. She looked at the clock again and wiped away her tears before getting up and getting ready. She put a small on her face as she opened the door to her son's room and gently woke him up.
"Josh" Kensi said softly "Time to get up for school. It's Friday"
"Daddy back?" Josh yawned as he sat up
"Not yet buddy. Come on time for school"
Kensi helped him get up and dressed before feeding him breakfast and taking him to school. Kensi sat down at her desk when she got to OSP and quickly started working. She paused at lunch and looked at the photo's on her desk. Her and G the day Josh was born, holding him in the hospital and then the three of them on Josh's first day of kindergarten. Her favorite picture was of the two of them on their wedding day. Sam had snapped it quickly, they were leaning on each other, foreheads touching.
"You looked so in love" Hetty said as she walked up
"We still are" Kensi replied
"How many years?"
"Seven today. Any word from him?"
"I'm sorry. But I know that where ever he is, he's thinking of only you"
Kensi nodded and went back to work. She ended her day early and picked up her son. They had a nice dinner before she dropped him off with Nell and Eric, an evening that had been planned for months, to give Kensi and G an evening alone. Kensi was just settling in with a book when the phone rang. It was Hetty. Kensi rushed to the office to sign some paper work she forgot and froze when she saw the large bouquet of red and white roses sitting on her desk.
"I know you hate flowers" Callen said as he stepped out of the shadows "But I thought you would make an exception for your husband"
"G" Kensi said "You made it home"
"I'm back for awhile. Finished my mission. Caught the guy and got home in time for an anniversary with my wife"
