Gillian stopped in the door way of the living room and listened quietly. Emily was sitting on the couch with a three year old girl curled into her side. The little girl leaned into her older sister as Emily gently stroked her hair.

"Caroline, stop wiggling and tell me what's wrong" Emily said as she looked at her little sister

"Emmy, do mama and daddy love me?" Caroline asked

"Of course they do sweet pea"
"How you know?"

"Because they smile real big when they see you or talk about you. And they come to all your dance recitals and they read you a story every night"

Caroline nodded, satisfied with her big sisters answer and cuddled back into her side. Gillian sighed and gasped in surprise as Cal walked up behind her and slipped his arms around her waist. She leaned back into her husband and turned her head to look at him.

"Spying love?" Cal asked

"Listening to our children interact" Gillian replied

"Same difference Gill"
