As Ginny looked up from her long piece of parchment she sighed "Hermione?"
"Yah, let me guess. You desperately need to see some of my old notes?
"How did you know? Actually… I'm sick of this, I have the whole Christmas break…"
"I guess just this once it can wait, do you want to go see Hagrid before we pack?"
"Sure."
Hermione and Ginny ran upstairs to get their winter cloaks before clambering through the Fat Lady's portrait. They had scarcely started down the corridor before they met up with Harry and Ron running from the other direction.
"Hey" stuttered Ron breathlessly.
"Why are you running?" Hermione demanded.
"No time to explain now, we've got to go…" Harry spat out quickly.
"We were just heading to Hagrid's, want to come?" said Ginny excitedly.
"Sure we'll meet you back here in a minute with the invisibility cloak." Harry said as he and Ron whisked around the corner.
"Well they were in a hurry." Hermione said quizzingly.
"Yah." Ginny replied. "Wonder what they were running from?"
"Dunno, maybe they'll tell us when we get to Hagrid's… Hey, how are things with Dean?"
Ginny and Hermione stood awkwardly in silence after this comment until Hermione felt something brush her elbow. She screamed as she whipped around, but nothing was there.
"Sshhh!" Ron whispered. "It's just us!"
"Well you bloody scared me!" Hermione spat impatiently.
"Come on you two, let's just go!" Harry suggested.
When they reached Hagrid's hut, he answered quickly and ushered them inside, used to a number of them usually being under the cloak.
"Harry, Ron, are you here too?" he said gruffly
"Yah" came a muffled voice from just inside the doorway.
"Okay, everything's clear now, you can come out."
"Right" came a voice from a red-haired Ron as he pulled the cloak off him awkwardly as he was significantly taller than Harry.
Hagrid grunted towards the table where they all sat down to bottles of warm butterbeer.
"Thanks Hagrid" Hermione muttered.
"What've you lot been up to?" Hagrid inquired when they had all been sufficiently warmed by the butterbeer.
"Yah guys, spill…"
