Delia wants you.

Delia wants you and she will get what she wants; and what she wants is power over you.

She doesn't want your power for herself – no, she really doesn't. She doesn't want to be a figurehead with an empty title, a slave to forces beyond her capabilities.

What Delia wants is to have you wrapped around her little finger until every move that you make is her move and everything you say comes from her mouth. She wants to twitch her finger and jerk your strings.

Delia wants to know you. Not because she likes you, but because she wants to know what makes you tick. She wants to figure you out so she can use you. She wants to bend you so far, you think you'll break and after she lets you snap into place, she'll bend you the other way.

After Delia is finished with you (and she will – finish with you, that is; you won't hold her attention for as long as you'd hoped – so few can), she'll move on to another. She'll hope her new project will be more of a challenge. And she'll keep moving on; she won't stop until she can walk into the room and every being before her will bow down. She won't stop until there is no one with the authority, the strength, the influence to rule over her.

If Delia had enough time, she would rule over all the Gods in all their glory.

If Delia weren't in prison and subject to every lowly prison guard and palace drudge who crossed her path, she wouldn't have to want you at all.

Sally is drowning self-pity in cynicism. It seems to be backfiring with interesting results. Inspirational songs include: "Whatever Lola Wants" (Sarah Vaughan), "Money (That's What I Want!)" and "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" (Marilyn).
