He walked down the dark street. All of the lights were out, there was only the moon, slightly illuminating the "Bork St." sign. He passed by "Moi Moi Dr." and "Onii-chan Cres." over to "Scary Dude Ave." This was his destination. He approached a house; the scariest one on the street, and knocked three times. Then he said the password; "Austria's boot," which caused the door to open. Netherlands was behind it, dressed in a Pikachu costume. He smelt like flowers. He let Berwald into his house.
Sweden sat down on the couch, and Netherlands brought him bread. Lots of bread. So much bread. There were round ones and square ones, long ones and flat ones. There was rye bread and there was white bread. Bread with nuts in it, bread with fruit in it. Berwald didn't know how to feel. He liked bread, but this was just too much. He picked up a baguette and took a bite (he was still hungry from the cereal incident), but he really just wanted some Raisin Bran. It seemed like Netherlands read his mind. "Why don't you try this," he said, handing Su-san some raisin bread. Berwald nibbled the pastry, just to be polite. It was good, but it was not two scoops. "I'm not really hungry," he said quietly. "That's okay," replied Netherlands, "Look, it's getting light out, why don't we go biking?"
They walked to the backyard, to the shed, which was full of bicycles. Lots of bicycles. So many bicycles. There were big ones and small ones, new ones and old ones. Bikes for the mountain, bikes for speed. Berwald didn't know how to feel. He liked bikes, but this was just too much. Netherlands brought out a tandem bike, and a helmet. "Why is there only one helmet? Aren't you going to wear one?" asked Sweden. "Nah, it'll just mess up my hair," Netherlands laughed, "So, which seat do you want?" "I'll take the back, thanks." "Okay then!" They got on the bike (Sweden making sure to put his helmet on correctly) and rode off. Ned was going pretty fast. So fast. They sped past "Onii-chan Cres." and far away to "Eyebrows Lane". They saw the signs for "Churos Blvd.", "Piano Parkway", and "Crotchrose Road". They even got as far as "Hamburger Heights" and "Maple Way".
Until Sweden fell off the bike. And Netherlands never looked back.
