Chapter 1: Sakura
"How did I get myself into this?" I asked no one in particular. Then I thought,' Oh yah it's because of the "accident" which probably was really not an accident at all.' I shook my head and told myself, "Stop thinking about that I don't want to start pitying my self again… and if I keep thinking about this I'll worry Tomoyo."
Right now, my mind was set on getting home… which was Tomoyo's house… well at least today. As for other days I don't exactly know where "home" is. You might be wondering, "huh?" because I know all of you know were your house is. But as for me, some times it's the orphanage, the shelter, or Tomoy's house. It was basically just were some one would accept me. Sigh
"At least I'm almost there," I told my self for encouragement. After all, I've been walking for hours with no one around, and I'm just sort of starting to feel a bit lonely… I guess that's my excuse for talking to myself. You might be asking why I don't take a bus, a taxi, or why my parents won't take me there. But that will all be answered in due time…
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Tomoyo right in front of me. "Hi, Sakura," she greeted happily, "don't tell me your thinking about the accident again." She frowned," I think you should move on… that happened 4 years ago."
"I wasn't thinking about THAT, but now that you mention it…" I told her, "you know about my suspi-"
"Oh come on you can't seriously think that, can you?" she asked.
"I do," I told her, " but will you listen to me once?" I didn't wait for her to reply, "Is there really any reason why anyone would kill my parents? They wanted me, I'm dangerous to be around," I hugged my knees and put my head on top, "and you know that."
Tomoyo sat beside me and stayed quiet for a few minutes then whispered, "yes I do, but I don't want to leave my best friend alone with no one to go to… even if it means my own safety. But I guess we have to face the facts were both different from common people, and I guess that's why we were destined together. And I'm going to stand by your side as long as I live."
Tomoyo is a true friend, but she is right. We are different from other people. We are set in our own group. I am truly glad a have such a great friend like Tomoyo.
