Consequences

Higgledy piggledy,
though good king Thranduil
never was afraid of
challenging doom,

I believe he would've thought
twice about marrying,
had he knew his son'd be
Orlando Bloom.

Bitter

Whole his life was a strife,
wise Elrond Peredhel
endured much bitterness
and fate unkind.

Nothing though could equal
this final injustice:
his ma-in-law always
was on his mind.

Author's note: Both these poems are movie-inspired. The Elrond piece sprung from the 'telepathic discourse' in the Two Towers - I just couldn't resist. As for the 'Consequences', no offence meant to Orlando Bloom, who is a very fine actor in my opinion. I just had the fangirl phenomena in mind - Evil!Thranduil fics make me gag.

And now... Yes, you've guessed it: All hail our noble Wood Elf king!
