Chapter 1
Part 1: DPOV
I ran a hand through my short hair, as I parked my car. I walked across the parking lot, nodding to anyone who'd call my name. I met Will and Jace by my locker "Hey..." I said lazily, opening my locker. Not really looking forward to the first day of our last year at Lincoln Park High School. The first things that inhabited my empty locker were the many invites to upcoming parties.
Will reached around me taking some, he looked through then frowning, then grinning "What is it that your invites are always scented with cute little hearts and I get all the plain boring ones?" He asked, I just smirked.
"Because he's Danny, and you are Will, you will never be him" Jace chimed in laughing. I laughed too, it was always fun to mess with Will. He was one of my best friends but quite shallow. Jace on the other hand you never knew what was going on in his head, he was a complete brain, yet totally cool.
Will made a face punching his arm; I shook my head turning away to my locker. A door opened, and a cold breeze blew in, blowing a soft, deep red clothe into my face. I opened my eyes, breathing in the smell of sweet vanilla sugar. I slowly jerked the clothe away from my face, the length of it unraveling into my hand. My gaze followed it to see where it'd come from. It hung over the ground spread like a silk carpet. I looked at the feet, judging from the heels and thin ankles it had to be a girl, I looked up at her equally skinny feet. She had a slender hour glass figure, delicate curves in all the right places, but seemingly breakable. Her stomach was clenched; her hands were resting above her chest. I looked at her fair, unblemished skin which looked unbelievably soft. She had small, yet full lips, round face, and gray eyes like molten silver. She had dark black hair, with a tinge of blue shine it fell in layers around her blowing lightly by the draft.
I looked her over again, there was something different about her...From her outfit I finally figured she was Indian or something. Her expression looked distant and worried. I looked at the soft fabric I was holding, seeing it went with what she was wearing it was obviously hers, she was looking at the scarf or whatever it was too. I smirked a bit being the reason of her distress.
She hesitantly stepped forward, bending down and picking up the other end of the scarf. I got a short glimpse of her cleavage before she stood back up; waiting for me to return or release the end I was holding.
I grinned and stepped forward still holding the little bunch of silk. She looked confused and uncomfortable; I kept stepping forward, loving the way her body tensed at being uncomfortable. Her hair blew due to the wind, for some reason I wanted to run my fingers through her dark silky hair, which fell like curtains around her.
Just then the bell rang, she looked around, the softest uhmm rolled of her lips, as she hesitantly stepped forward, and quickly took her scarf thingy back. When she moved her hands to get the clothe, I saw the creamy skin around her neck, her sharp collarbones, and soft skin. She put it back around her neck, looking relieved. I watched as she quickly retreated probably heading to her next class.
I was sure she was new because I would have remembered a frame like hers, and if she was worth the remembrance I'd have already bedded her. I grinned too myself at the thought.
