Broken
By TheHopefulSoul
Broken eyes peer out from a dark face,
A knowing glint to an immortal smile,
Dark brown hair flying in the wind as they give chase,
Taunting his dangerous hunters all the while.
Harsh dark eyes take in the oppressed country,
Wings of freedom branding her broken soul,
Believing liberty is elementary,
Will not let humanity's greed take control.
Blue eyes become clouded by his ambition,
The reflection of the man is somehow his,
Rising above all of the opposition,
Unable to see how broken his life is.
A tale that mended a broken child's heart,
The Bartimaeus Trilogy and I will not part.
