TWIST IN A FAIRY TALE
CH. 1 UNFORTUNATE EVENTS
Sophie woke up trembling and covered in sweat for the third day in a row. She got up from her bed that had been uncomfortable for the last 14 years. The people she lived with were, in her mind, her parents. Which to much of her disappointment she will find out that they are not. They treated her descent except when she was being herself. This girl was a trouble maker, not because she chose to be but because trouble always found it's way towards her
No one seemed to have awoken her for the last three days. This did not worry her because she knew that her parents had to get up early to open their baker which was located in town. Maybe they thought that she could wake up on her own now that she was older, and do her chores. But we're not going to press the subject.
Kind of bored of the same daily routine she decided not to do her chores. Which she later that day regrets. She had now saved enough money to buy a luap. It took her nearly three years to have enough money. It would have taken her less time if she hadn't taken money out for candy every time she went to town. Luaps are one of the craziest creatures on her planet of Cotep: they are crazy in a fun way though do not get frightened. If I were to describe them I would just say, "magical giant lizard with magnificent beauty and powers".
Sophie grabbed all her coins and headed to town. She had to take a more dangerous route so her parents wouldn't see her. She went through the forest of hatred. Don't be fooled by the gentle name this forest is full of dark evil things. This girl was brave, well not really she ran the whole way dodging tree branches and blocking out the screaming of crows in the darkness of the forest. Even as she ran she would slow down to take a closer look around but would get frightened and would run even faster towards the other end of the forest which at first only looked like a dot and now was her greatest joy to see it at last. She had made it all the way.
Arriving at the pet shop was a hassle because everyone knew her, and we all know adults right? They ask a lot of questions. What kind of questions nobody really knows. When being questioned by adults Sophie feels as if she is in a room with a table in the center and a giant light pointing at her face as an adult walks around he asking her all these questions. Well now arriving to her destination was a process. Let me walk you through her first challenge. There were six houses she had to pass by to get to the pet shop. Good thing she didn't dress like herself today. She usually had a plain white shirt with a pair of baggy black pants. Today she wore the same thing except she had neatly brushed her hair and tied it into a pony tail. No one would recognize her if she kept her head down, which she did with no difficulty.
To her disappointment the pet shop was closed. Mad as can be she said a couple of words that I don't the meaning to. Forgetting that she not supposed to be in town. She went right through town with her head up and she had also put her hair down. She never liked brushing her hair in the first place, she absolutely hated it.
If Sophie walked another thirty steps her parents would most likely see her and it would not be good for her. That was exactly what happened. She was walking when suddenly someone grabbed her shoulder. She turned around and saw a shadow blocking the sun, she could not make out who it was until the person spoke, it was her father. Her father was a big man (TO BE CONTINUED)
