Disclaimer: I do not own anything - the context of Goldilocks and the Three Bears spawned from my wonderful sister, who is also by beta.

This is just a little something I noticed while I was replaying the game: why exactly did Lymle choose to sit on Faizie's side of the ship? A little random and not very well written but it was kind of fun writing this.

Lymle-locks and the Four Chairs

Once upon a time, there entered a Lemurisian girl into the bridge of a spaceship registered as the SRF-003 Calnus. Now then, her friends – plus one- had already sat down at their assigned stations.

One would think that seating arrangements were simply by chance as the young blond leader would obviously sit at the captain's chair; his childhood friend on his left at the navigator's seat; the dummy finally allocated to the co-pilot's chair. Later we learn that only two adjacent seats could accommodate the robotic giant; the affectionate feline in wish to be kept in company of; that only one seat met the roomy criteria required for a certain Featherfolk's wings; resulting in the pink-haired symbologist and a gruff Eldarian filling in at the remaining positions for co-pilots.

Yet this was not the case for the young little girl for she was quite spoilt and just had to have a perfect spot, consequently, she faced quite a dilemma. Where should she sit? She presumed that she was not permitted to place herself in front of the bright flat surfaces they called screens and the thought of being anywhere near an idiot automatically ruled out that side, leaving only the left side for her use.

Thus the child situated herself on the seat closest to the stairs. 'Too hard' was the first thought that came to mind as she sat down, so she scooted to its neighbour beside the wall. However, this time she claimed that it was 'too soft'.

She frowned. Both of her options were as equally horrid as each other. She contemplated her choices for a short moment and figured that she might as well pick a comfortable place to sit at, for this place was to be her new home for quite a long while.

She stared at the other side, eyeing the seats and then allowed an unhappy sigh to escape her lips as she considered what the view of those seats would entail. The pig-tailed girl trudged along to the other side grudgingly, seating herself on the furthest seat and instantly feeling a bit claustrophobic from sitting so close to the cold, hard wall.

One would think that a space-craft so well equipped with sophisticated machinery could at least accommodate something as simple as comfortable seats, but apparently not.

She sidled over but found herself quite contented. 'Just right,' she thought. However, the dummy in front of her somewhat unpleasantly obstructed her otherwise lovely view of the bridge, but she supposed that it was a fair trade for a good comfortable seat. Perhaps the dummy would even be unnerved by her presence and would willingly move away sooner or later.

Fortunately, said dummy moved to another position soon afterwards – obviously her presence was too intimating for him. It brought a comfortable distance between them as one must be careful not to be in such close proximity to idiocy, which she reckoned might be contagious.

And so, Lymle Lemuri Phi sat happily ever after.

The End

And again thanks for reading!
