The Tune of the Thirteen Towers

Nobody goes there now.
None dare to fetch the treasures away
From the desolate battlements all arow
Where the tattered banners sway.
Elena sings as she tends her flowers.
This is the tune of the Thirteen Towers.

The road is hard and far.
Few see at the end of the way
The Towers hung over the Scar
By chains so massive they never sway.
Elena sighs as she tends her flowers.
This is the tune of the Thirteen Towers.

Elena sings her song,
And works lest she should weep,
For the Scar is wide and long,
And none can say how deep.
Elena drops a tear on the flowers.
This is the tune of the Thirteen Towers.

"The beasts in the Towers roam,
And the Masters sit at the top.
Will you go into their home,
That Elena's curse might stop?"
Elena shudders amidst her flowers.
This is the tune of the Thirteen Towers.

Aeron has heard the crone,
And now to the Towers' top
He makes his way alone,
That Elena's curse might stop.
Elena stands amidst her flowers,
Gazing out at the Thirteen Towers.

She feels the change begin,
From the curse that's over her cast.
She feels it in every limb.
Oh, Aeron, come back fast!
Elena is silent amidst her flowers,
Gazing out at the Thirteen Towers.
