Kissing in the Rain by Lukie15
Draco loved the rain. He loved the clear sound, the fresh taste, the cool touch. He was standing on the bank of the lake. It was raining and he was soaked.
Suddenly an umbrella was held over him. He turned to snarl at whatever unfortunate person was holding it.
'Go away Potter.' Draco glared.
'You'll catch a cold.' Harry replied.
'Why do you care?' Draco frowned.
'Because,' Harry cast a drying charm on him. 'I think that it wouldn't be very nice if you were sick. I prefer you healthy.'
'What are you on about?' Draco scoffed. Harry didn't answer.
Draco sighed. 'I like the rain Potter. And I haven't gotten sick yet so sod off.'
'There's a first time for everything.' Harry said.
Draco sighed and he tried to walk away but Harry charmed the umbrella so it hovered above him and wouldn't leave.
'Potter!' Draco cried.
'It'll leave you as soon as you go back inside.' Harry smiled. He walked back into the castle.
Draco stormed inside and he went to lunch. He sat down beside Pansy and Blaise with an irritated huff.
'You look angry . . . and confused.' Pansy said.
'Potter.' Draco spat. 'He's developed an annoying concern for my health.' He explained what had happened outside.
'Aw, I think that's rather sweet.' Pansy cooed. Draco glared. 'Well, er . . . it is . . .' She murmured.
Harry walked into the Great Hall. He caught Draco's eye and smiled. Draco, to his own horror, blushed.
'I hate him.' Draco muttered half-heartedly. He didn't see the wink Blaise targeted at Harry. Pansy stifled a giggle.
'Are you sure you want to do this Harry?' Ron said.
'I'm sure.' Harry nodded. He discreetly cast a handful of charms and then the ceiling above them turned from a pleasant sunny sky to a stormy sky. It started to rain. But the rain actually was falling.
It didn't hit the food because of the impervious charm Harry had cast but everyone was soon soaked.
Draco looked up and he was astonished by a huge message written in gold in the sky ceiling.
I can't think of what else to do because he's clearly too daft to get it even though there were so many clues. Since he loves the rain and I don't want him to get sick he can have the magic "guaranteed to leave you healthy" rain. And if he still doesn't get it I'll just say it.
'Draco?' Harry had walked over. Draco looked at him with wide eyes. 'I love you.'
Draco looked at Pansy and Blaise. They grinned. 'I . . .' Draco was at a loss of what to say.
Harry smiled softly. 'Say something? Please?'
'Well, you're an irritating git but I'm willing to look past that . . .' Draco said.
'Thanks. I've looked past your evil jerkiness.' Harry smirked.
Draco ignored that. 'And what did was very sweet.'
'I know.' Harry said smugly.
'For a guy who's in love with me and wanting to date me you're awful sarcastic.' Draco rolled his eyes.
Harry shrugged. 'Old habits die hard.'
Draco pulled Harry closer by his shirt front. He gripped Harry's tie and pulled him down into a kiss.
'Such a cliché.' Draco hummed.
'What is?' Harry said against Draco's lips. Draco replied.
'Kissing in the rain.'
