I'd first like to take a moment, as this is the first item I have published here at FanFiction that is based on the
works of Ms. Virginia C. Andrews (nee Cleo Virginia Andrews), to talk about why I choose to write texts
based on Andrews' novels. Firstly, as mentioned on my Profile page, Virginia is indeed my favourite writer of all time.
She is also my inspiration. Everytime I pick up a Virginia Andrews book I am constantly in awe of her beautiful words and completely shocked that I can read her books of drama when I only ever otherwise tend to read horror texts.
Being even half the writer Virginia Andrews was has been a dream of mine ever since the day, years ago, when I
began the epic journey that began with Cathy and Chris as 'Flowers In The Attic'.
Virginia's books reach a part of my emotion I never knew I had. And that has had an enormous impact on my own writing. For this, I am eternally greatful to an amazing author.
As cruel fate has it, Virginia Andrews was taken from this world on the Nineteenth of December in the year 1986; a sixty-two year old victim of breast cancer. Virginia, to I and all other fans, will always be remembered for her everlasting talent and her eternal effect on how we see drama in fiction - a legacycontested by no other.
Cleo Virginia Andrews : Always Remain In Spirit

Thank you to my mother for introducing me to the tearful story of four children, whose mothers
greed led them to live the majority of their younglives trapped in the attic.
Thank you for everything.

This song has reminded me of Jory and Melodie's relationship
towards the end of their marriage ever since the day I heard it!
Try to think of it as I do -as if Jory saying these things to Melodie - whom has become ghostlike, withdrawn.
A few lines of this song also remind me of how Jory might feel towards the secrets kept locked away
within his family - the secrets of Cathy, Chris...and Foxworth Hall.
Please R & R - and leave a comment if you think this song is a good representation of Jory and
Melodie's deteriorating relationship, as I do.
Disclaimer
I do not own the characters Jory Marquette or Melodie Richarme-Marquet
They belong to the amazing Ms Andrews.
Nor do I own the song; titled 'Citizen Erased'
That belongs to the Muse - an amazingly talented band who I love!

Break me in,
Teach us to cheat
And to lie, cover up
What shouldn't be shared?
All the truth unwinding
Scraping away
At my mind
Please stop asking me to describe him
For one moment
I wish you'd hold your stage
With no feelings at all
Open minded
I'm sure I used to be so free
Self expressed, exhausting for all
To see and to be
What you want and what you need
The truth unwinding
Scraping away
At my mind
Please stop asking me to describe
For one moment
I wish you'd hold your stage
With no feelings at all
Open minded
I'm sure I used to be so free
For one moment
I wish you'd hold your stage
With no feelings at all
Open minded
I'm sure I used to be so free
Wash me away
Clean your body of me
Erase all the memories
They will only bring us pain
And I've seen all I'll ever need
