Sadness quickly filled Harry as he sat in front of the instruments, the books, and the papers, but not in front of his mentor and friend Albus Dumbledore.

All students who had stayed were to leave today. The castle was busy with students running to collect their items and perhaps their last memories of Hogwarts, while the professors were busy keeping order and straightening their affairs.

" Problem Harry?"

He instantly turned around at the sound of the voice, he knew that voice

He turned franticly searching for…..hope " Professor, where are you, Professor?"

" Over here my boy, over here."

Looking up, he saw a golden frame with his dear old friend sitting in a comfortable purple plush chair, and a face full of twinkling blue eyes…and… contentment.

" Why looking so down my boy? There is no need to be sad. Everything has happened as it should have."

Confusion struck Harry " Should have? How can you be so happy? The one man you trusted so much, the one who you kept trying to tell us is good, is the one who betrayed you."

" Severus did what he had to."

Harry couldn't believe it, it was as if Dumbledore didn't hate Snape, didn't care, as if he still…..trusted him.

" HE KILLED YOU"

" I trust him Harry, he did what he had to do. He took the unbreakable vow…."

" TO MALFOY"

" Yes to Narcissa Malfoy, to protect her son, and to do what he cannot. Severus told me."

He put up a finger before Harry could speak, "Let me finish. He came to me ready to take the consequences that would await him; do you know what would have happened? Death. I made him give me his word that he would do what was necessary, I almost feared that he would not do it."

Standing up, Harry argued as if to prove his point, " THEN HE SHOULD HAVE DIED"

" Harry think! He could not have saved me, and had he tried, it would have only ended for the worst. For he would have died along with me! I had to beg him to do it Harry, I trusted him with my life."

Not believing what he was hearing Harry said, " How can you still say that? Everything works out for his own good. HES VOLDEMORTS RIGHT HAND MAN AGAIN"

" Do you not trust me Harry? Do you not have faith in me?"

" What…I do, I do."

" Then trust me, trust yourself. Set aside all anger and rage, in your heart, what does it tell you about Severus Snape?"

" I want to believe you professor, I do, but he killed you and I cannot put that aside."

" Yet he did not give you to Tom, he has protected you Harry, you cannot deny that. Think Harry! Reason with yourself, many times he could have taken you to him, but he never did. He had many chances during your lessons together, as like tonight, yet he left you."

Sighing Harry said, "I just…I just don't know. I wish you were here…like really here." Whispering, " You shouldn't have died, you should be here. Its not fair"

" Everything is like a puzzle Harry, you just have to put all the pieces together. I'll always be with you. No matter what."

Standing Harry said, "I have to go professor."

Before he left Dumbledore said, " Try to believe Harry, you will see before the end."

A/N: I had an urge to write this...just to put out reasons. Cause truly, I don't think Sev's bad. Why would Rowling go through all the trouble throughout the book to prove that hes a traitor? Its too obvious.
