This is my second Fanfiction. I hope you like it, it follows on from the end of the Deathly HAllows with the next generation of Hogwarts students...
Platform 9¾ was packed on the 1st September. Families bustled up and down the platform exchanging pleasantries with one another or organising their child. Seamus was one of those parents. "Meghan did you pack your spell books?" he asked anxiously, turning down his daughters upturn collar. She batted him off "yeas dad I told you ten time," she smiled. She picked up her owl cage and turned to put it on the train. She collided with another boy trying to complete the same task. Both owls hooted loudly. "oops sorry," Meghan stammered flushing red. "Its ok, my fault I should have been looking at where I was going," the boy replied. He bustled away grinning at Meghan.
Albus walked down the platform trying to find Rose. He turned his head in every direction and collided with a thin, blonde haired girl. "Sorry…" he said stopping in mid-sentence. "Its ok," the girl spoke in a dreamy voice, "I'm often bumping into people. My mother said I get it from my father." Albus looked startled. "Are those radishes on your earrings?" he asked. "Oh yes there my mother," she replied turning and skipping down the platform.
Jeremy waited patiently at the platform. A familiar face came strolling through the wall and spotted him. "Alright captain?" the boy spoke pointing at Jeremy's badge. "Team won't be the same without you Teddy and I'll be lucky if I can do half as good a job as you did," Jeremy replied. "Nah Gryffindor'll definitely win the Quidditch cup again this year," Teddy replied, "it's in your blood Wood." He turned and walked down the platform.
George Weasley looked into his son's eyes. "Fred what have I told you?" he asked. "Don't go looking for trouble it'll find me soon enough," he replied with a cheeky grin. "Good! Have you got everything? If you run out of anything send me an owl." "-As I was saying the broomstick regulations-" a familiar voice sounded not to far behind them. "Quick Fred get on the train before your uncle Percy spots us!" George panicked, "good there's your mother." Angelina appeared at George's shoulder and kissed Fred whispering, "try not to get into to much trouble".
The train whistled and everyone prepared to get on.
"Make sure you have a good year," Oliver said taking his son's shoulders. "Bye dad," Jeremy replied.
"Ursa, don't forget your copy of the Quibbler!" Luna cried handing her a magazine through the open window.
"Fred have a good year. Stay with Rose and Albus and you'll be fine," George choked gazing at his son who reminded him so much of his deceased twin.
"Meghan," Seamus said, "try not to blow anything up eh?" "I won't dad," she replied waving at him.
Percy hugged his son awkwardly. "Don't get into any trouble now," he said. Peter straightened his prefect badge. "And try not to let anyone bewitch your badge," he added remembering his own badge reading "Pinhead" for days after Fred and George bewitched it.
(A/N- This bit isn't great so bear that in mind…)
Scorpius climbed in the train and bumped into Albus. "Sorry," Albus muttered for the second time today. "It's ok," Scorpius returned. "Hey you're a Malfoy!" Albus said with a double-take. "You must be a Potter," Scorpius answered. Albus took out a bag of sweets from his pocket. "Have one," he said proffering the bag to Scorpius. "Then that makes us friends," Albus added. Scorpius took one "thanks," he said putting it in his mouth. Suddenly a large canary appeared where Scorpius stood. Albus cackled with laughter and hurried into a compartment. Scorpius's feathers dropped and he returned to normal, red in the face. "My father will hear about this!" he spat turning to find a compartment of his own…
