Puzzles

Ryou Bakura didn't like puzzles.

They were so difficult to solve with all the different little pieces and their specific placement.

All the puzzles he ever started he never got finished. They frustrated him and he gave up before he was even halfway done.

His life was kind of like a puzzle. Not like you'd think, but it was.

Everything he touched fell to pieces and he was left to pick them up. He had to try to put it all together again.

After his mother and sister died, he tried to make amends with his father, hoping they could support each other through this tragedy.

It didn't work. His father left for Egypt and his precious excavations. He could be dead as well, for all that Ryou saw the man.

He tried to start again in Domino City, where no one knew his past. But after that first fateful Monster World game, Yugi-tachi avoided him like the plague.

Avoided him out of fear. Fear of the thing that lived inside of him.

The Spirit that always seemed to ruin things.

But the Spirit never left him.

It was the one stable thing in Ryou's life.

That part of the puzzle always stayed the same. It never fell to pieces.

And, considering the hand he'd been dealt in life, he was grateful for that.

oooooooo

Eh, it didn't exactly end up like I had in mind, but it's all good. I like it. If you like it you should leave me a review, please?

Oh, yeah. It's a failed drabble. Drabbles have 100 words and this one has a little over 200. Oh well.
