Ukiya Shun love Ruriko, it was clear, but like a boy he did not know his own feelings, until it was too late. They had both gone their separate ways, but fate had it's hands bringing them both once again together, when the girl now became the women.

Shun still clings to the image of Ruriko as his little Ruirppe the sniveler. However, Ruriko had changed, she became prettier, but the attributes that made her his Rurippe still existed; the girl that he had grown to love when they were children.

Now--she lay dying in his arms. LIfe was precious it could be snuffed out in a flash. Ruriko's gate of light and life was disappearing.

Hope was the only thing Shun had left; it was something he learned from the ribbon haired girl. His Rurippe left him in new shoes and new eyes.

Now she was slowly fading from him. Ruriko had saved him in order to save the world. If only he had the power to save her. If only his gate could help heal her.

However, in order to save the world he had to leave her it reminded him of his father. How his father had left him and his sister alone with his mother, when he died. It hurt. But there was a truth in order to save the world that Ruriko love he had to leave her now.

So Shun fought for the world, and for Ruriko, he fought until tears fled down his his cheeks. When Reiji Kageyama was gone he had stumble to the body of his love. He felt light hearted when her eyes opened and his life faded into her arms.

When he opens his eyes white surrounded him. His body ached, but his wounds were gone, only faint scratches were here and there. Then slowly Ruriko's face flooded into his mind and he looked around in panic. Wondering if he dreamed of everything, whether or not she would be lifeless and like a corpse.

And--so he ran looking for her, letting his instincts guide him to the rooftop, when he heard familiar voices. There he laid eyes on his Rurippe alive and smiling as she ran away from the others in embarrassment. However, both of them miscalculated the fact they didn't expect the other to be there so close.

Their lips press together, when they feel but Shun felt happiness at the light of life that glimmer in those eyes. Hope was a wonderful thing.
