I wish for the fallen dew that once came
And the wind that slowly blew,
But the flames that had burned,
And the water that drowned.
I wished to hear the voice that sang
A loving lullaby
That was only sang by an angel
I wish to hear the whispering trees,
With the leaves that brushed my skin
I heard another voice
That said,
"Leaves will die, but the trees will not"
I hung close to the fallen words
My hand on my heart
My feet on the ground,
My head in the clouds...
I only wished for the fallen dew that once came
To shower its kindness and hope upon the sad world,
I hope to see the gleam
That once glowed so bright in the darkness
I hoped to hear the voice
That once sang to me.
I wish for the wind to carry me,
To the dark depths of the water,
To replenish my broken soul,
For now, I can hear the voice, the voice that once sang to me...
