Just something quick that popped into my head that won't leave me alone. enjoy :)
"I can't do this." Quinn said finally letting her emotions show.
She had spent all day – hell, all week – trying to avoid this. She had stayed carefully composed with a plastic smile on her face through greeting relatives she barely knew, making sure everything was perfect for the wedding, and posing for what felt like an endless amount of photographs. Not to mention avoiding the subject of whose kid the flower girl was. She didn't feel like discussing her teenage pregnancy in front of her devoutly religious relatives, but damn it if Beth wasn't going to be a part of her wedding somehow.
Now here she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
"Can't do what?" Santana asked as she carefully applied her eyeliner in the mirror next to Quinn. The blonde didn't want a million people in the room with her so it had been decided that Quinn's mother Judy and maid of honor Santana would be the ones to help Quinn finish getting ready. However Judy, who was just as concerned with detail as her daughter, decided to go and make sure all of the groomsmen were properly dressed. This left the two high school friends alone in bridal room.
"What if I can't do this?"
"So what's the problem here?" All you have to do is walk down the aisle. It's not that hard." The Hispanic girl said impatiently.
"That's not what I mean. I don't know if I can be a good wife. Every relationship I've ever had ended because of me and how I was. And I know all of that stuff is in the past, but I really love him, Santana. I can't screw this up too." Quinn said with the tears now sliding down her cheeks.
"So you're just going to quit? You're going to sabotage yet another chance you have to be happy because you're scared? Bullshit. I don't except that. Not from you. You're Quinn Fabray – the girl who had a baby and still ruled the school and worked her ass off to get into Yale. You've come way too far now just to run away. You know what we are that they are not?" Santana asked.
"Flawless." Quinn responded suddenly beaming again as she gently wiped her eyes. She mentally reminded herself to thank Tina later for lending her waterproof mascara to wear.
"Exactly. Now you're gonna go out there and march down that isle in front of all those people and I'm gonna be right there with you." Santana said grabbing Quinn's hand and squeezing it tight.
It was then that Quinn's mother burst in to tell the young woman that the ceremony was about to start.
As looking absolutely radiant in her white wedding dress, Quinn walked down the aisle with a bright smile with her mother escorting her down the aisle. In her daughter's mind there was no one else she'd rather have walk with her.
Looking at all of her friends dressed in the light blue and black colors she'd picked out with care standing with smiles on their faces and staring right at her smiling groom she knew she had made the right choice. As she reached the end of the aisle she saw Santana give her a thumbs up which made her even more sure of her choice.
The wedding went off without a hitch and years later Quinn, while enjoying a day out with her growing family, would wonder what she was ever really afraid of.
Reviews are love. As for Quinn's groom...you can use your imagination for that one.
